Within just 10 minutes, this number rang me five times non-stop. I didn't answer or say anything, but then the caller launched into a furious storm of swear words. After the fifth call, my partner grabbed the phone, but the foul language didn’t stop. In the end, I just had to unplug the phone to get some peace!

According to the info shown, it’s one of those RELX cons. They told me I was still holding "DRIP" shares even though I sold my Reed Elsevier stock ages ago. They talked up huge returns but wanted me to pay a refundable 10% bond first. They even sent a Non Disclosure Agreement which looked quite legit. The company handling the transfer said they were Bellsouth Capital Partners based in New York. When I questioned them, they got really agitated and then just disappeared. I’ve reported it to several UK agencies. Just ended the call!

Got a call from some bloke with an American accent, chatting about shareholdings or something. Told him to shove off and cut the call. Then he rings back, leaves this creepy voicemail sayin he'll be around later to set fire to the house and that we're all gonna die! Proper scary stuff.

Got a call from this number about supposedly owning shares in the long-defunct Anglo and Overseas Investment Trust PLC. They said if I confirmed I was a shareholder, they could offer between £8 and £17 for each share. They wanted my email to send me paperwork to sort it out. Problem is, A&O has been under administration since 2007! I asked them to send the details by post since they claimed to have my address, but the guy got annoyed and said it had to be emailed right away because he was in New York and post would be too slow. I just ended the call there.

Around half past six tonight, I got a call from a woman with a really noticeable foreign accent claiming to work for a firm intending to launch a hostile takeover of RELX Plc, a company I have shares in. She insisted I sign a Non Disclosure Agreement before giving me any further details. The chat seemed quite genuine at first, but I thought it best to check with this site before proceeding and found out that others had received similar calls. That was really useful. She also sent me the NDA via email, which apparently comes from a New York firm named CLARKSDALE CORPORATE PARTNERS.

My mum got a call from this number and she kept wanting to know who it was instead of them saying who they were. Then the bloke started calling her a b**** and just ended the call! Can’t believe this happened. Anyone know what I should do about it?

Got a call asking for my husband about some shares, so I told them to write instead. Then the caller goes and asks if he's dead! Honestly, what a bunch of scumbags!

Total scam! Got a call from a woman with a really heavy Asian accent asking about United Utility shares. She claimed the company was going to be sold and said she found my address and phone number from the share register. Definitely dodgy. When I asked what company she was from, she refused to say. Tried asking more stuff but she just dodged all my questions. Then she started calling me g##, saying she thought I was g## for not wanting to discuss my shares with her. Why is g## even used as an insult? Proper strange behaviour!

I’ve had a few calls from this number, and although the accents are American, there’s definitely something off about them - sounds like they’re not really from the States. They mentioned some shares I supposedly owned in the past. I got suspicious when they started talking about needing a fee upfront to unlock a big stock purchase. Classic signs of a scam if you ask me.

This bloke named Julian Bersen rang my mum, saying he wanted to talk to me about some 'shareholding' that I don’t even have. Without thinking much, my mum gave him my number, and he’s already tried to ring me once, though I missed the call. He wasn’t rude to my mum, but he was quite pushy, which has made her a bit anxious - she tends to stress over stuff like this!

Got a call from a bloke with an Eastern accent, chatting about shares in "British Airport Authority". When I asked him a few questions, he told me he wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone but the shareholder. I then asked why on earth he was ringing at such a weird hour, and wouldn’t you know it, he just hung up on me.

Got a guy calling with an eastern accent. My missus picked up and told him we wasn't interested. He rang again and I told him the same. Then he called back saying my missus had been rude to him, which wasn't true. He kept ringing and started swearing, calling her a bloody b##ch and more. Feels like he just wants to provoke a response. Not happening here, mate.

This lady with a very strong American accent rang me up, claiming I’d sold some shares years back. Then she went on about meeting me at a pub and later on a dance floor - things that definitely never happened. I even joked I was from Mars here on a scouting mission for an invasion, but she just kept going on and on. Gotta give her credit though, she’s really determined!

Just got a call from a bloke named Julian asking about MFI Shares. Before I could even say much, in less than five seconds he snapped at me, shouting something like 'stop wasting my time, you fooking idiot,' then he just ended the call. Absolutely rude!

Some bloke called Mr. Pedersen rang me, said he wanted to buy some shares. Oddly, he already knew my name and the exact number of shares I owned. He said his client was trying to take over my business and needed to get 51% control by buying an extra 10% of shares. Then he asked if I was up for selling at way less than the usual market price. I told him no, and he just cut me off straight away, not even a 'thanks' or 'bye'. Proper rude!
