I answered with a quick hello but got no reply whatsoever. So I hung up right away and then checked the number here on this site.

Got a call from a young Asian woman claiming there was an issue with my computer. I asked what company she was with and she said IT Solutions London. Then I asked for their office address and phone number. She handed me over to her manager, who gave an address with a postcode starting with LS - which ain't right for London, we all know London postcodes start with something like SW or SE. After that little slip-up, I just hung up on him.

A guy with an Asian accent called me saying they were about to disconnect my internet. When I asked what for, he said it was because of a virus. I asked if it was on my Windows, and he said yes, then told me to switch on my computer. I found that odd and said I use an Apple instead. He insisted he could fix it anyway. I told him to stop bothering me and hung up. He called back, threatening to block my computer in 30 minutes and got quite pushy, talking over me when I tried telling him to leave me be.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent pretty early, like 8 in the morning. When I asked who he was, he just hung up straight away without saying a word. Really strange!

Received yet another call from a gentleman with an Asian accent. As soon as I inquired about his identity, the line went dead.

I received a call this morning at precisely 8.00am from a chap with a rather Asian surname claiming to be from some tech support at Windows. I informed him that I was indeed facing issues with my computer. My response was somewhat blunt-something along the lines of telling him to find a proper job! It’s worth noting this was the third similar call I’ve received just over the weekend. What a nuisance!

Called by this number today around 9:43 in the morning on 02/11/2016. When I picked up, I stayed silent, then someone quickly said goodbye. Seeing what others have said here makes me wonder if it's linked because I had to ring up BT recently about a billing problem and spoke with someone who sounded Indian. I’m on the ex-directory list and usually don’t get random calls like this.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying he was from BT Connect. He claimed there was an issue with my PC and that if I didn’t cooperate, my computer would get locked and cut off from the internet. I told him I’d enjoy hearing a good scam story, but this wasn’t it - BT doesn’t handle my computer problems, and big firms like BT or Microsoft wouldn’t ring up customers directly about issues like that. Then, out of nowhere, he told me to stuff off and just hung up on me. Bit rude, innit?

I received a call from a chap with an accent that sounded Asian, claiming to represent BT Connect. He started talking about an issue with my computer and warned me that failure to comply would result in it being locked and disconnected from the internet. I couldn't help but chuckle at his attempt - it was clear he was just another scammer with poor skills. Firstly, I pointed out that BT has no dealings with my personal computer, and secondly, reputable companies like BT or Microsoft certainly don’t ring customers about such matters. In the midst of my amusement, he unexpectedly told me to "F off" before abruptly hanging up. Rather amusing, unless it wasn't so concerning!

Got a call this morning around 8:35 from a bloke claiming to be from BT Openreach. He was saying my internet would get cut off if I didn't follow his instructions. Sounded like another Pakistani guy to me. I wasn't having any of it. I told him I actually work for BT Openreach and asked why he'd be ringing me up out of the blue, also asked for some sort of proof of who he was. After that, he just hung up on me.

Just got a call not long ago from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT, talking about my IP address. I knew straight away it was a scam, so I told her to stop wasting my time and ended the call. These rubbish calls are so annoying. I’m registered with the TPS, yet it seems like they can’t do anything to stop them.

Someone called me, said they're from BT Openreach and told me my IP got hacked. She asked what gadgets I use to get online. But when I tried asking her a couple things back, she just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

So, I received a rather peculiar call from a chap claiming to be from BT, insisting that my internet and BTHUB would need to be out of commission for a five-day period while they sorted out some hacking issue linked to my accounts. He introduced himself as Alan, though his accent suggested he wasn’t from round these parts - definitely had an Indian twang to it. This marks the fifth time I've been contacted by him! I told him to clear off last week, yet here he is again, tenacious as ever.

Received a call earlier claiming to be from BT Openreach, insisting that there was some other individual making use of my internet connection. They urged me to fire up my computer. I mentioned that I was just about to head out and then promptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I've been getting calls from this number every evening recently and it's really starting to feel like I'm being watched or followed. I'm even thinking about getting a new phone number because of it. Can someone tell me who I should contact to report this? Not sure what to do.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from BT Connect. He told me there was some issue with my computer and warned that if I didn’t pay attention, my PC would get locked and cut off from the internet. I told him I appreciated his effort to pull off a scam, but frankly, his game was weak - firstly, BT has nothing to do with my computer, and secondly, big firms like BT or Microsoft don’t ring up customers about tech issues like this. Weirdly enough, he just told me to piss off and then ended the call.

This number called me earlier, and it was just like others have said before - a bloke with an Asian accent, and his voice was really scratchy. He claimed he was ringing from TalkTalk, said something about being my provider. I just hung up straight away since I’m not even with TalkTalk!

This firm goes by the name of ITsolutions, and I’ve forked out money for software which I’m yet to see a refund for. It’s nothing short of a con, so steer clear! Whatever you do, don’t divulge any of your banking information!

This morning, I got a ring from this number. The voice on the other end had a foreign tone, perhaps Asian, and they attempted to inform me about an alleged issue with my computer. Given that my husband had fallen prey to phone fraud from a call not too dissimilar to this, I decided to hang up straight away. Just a heads-up, folks! Be cautious out there!

Got a call earlier today around 3:50pm from some bloke who sounded like he was from India or Pakistan, but the phone connection was really bad. He asked, “Is the owner of this number there?” and then mentioned something about Windows. Bit odd since if you’re actually from Windows, you’d say Microsoft, right? Totally seemed like a scam to me. I’m reporting it to the police just to be on the safe side.

Got a call from 001663749279, some bloke I didn't know. At first he was talking about my computer, then suddenly switched to talking about windows. He started getting quite rude and then began shouting when I said no thanks. Then he weirdly told me he loves me. Really freaked me out.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from Windows. Instead of just shutting it down, I kept him chatting by asking about how his day's been and told him it was lovely he called just to have a natter. Then he mentioned the call was being recorded, so I said that was fine by me. After that, he just said goodbye and ended the call.

Got a call from what sounded like some call centre over in India, total scam. They said they were from Windows, that huge software firm, and reckoned I had a virus on my computer. Classic trick trying to make you panic about warnings and all that. If you ever get calls like this, don’t trust a word they say - it’s all a con.

I tried calling back but after I blocked the number it showed as "busy" for about ten minutes. I couldn't make any calls and even 1471 didn't work until I totally unplugged the phone line and switched off the power to the terminal. It was only after that everything started working again.
