I answered with a quick hello but got no reply whatsoever. So I hung up right away and then checked the number here on this site.

Got a call from a young Asian woman claiming there was an issue with my computer. I asked what company she was with and she said IT Solutions London. Then I asked for their office address and phone number. She handed me over to her manager, who gave an address with a postcode starting with LS - which ain't right for London, we all know London postcodes start with something like SW or SE. After that little slip-up, I just hung up on him.

A guy with an Asian accent called me saying they were about to disconnect my internet. When I asked what for, he said it was because of a virus. I asked if it was on my Windows, and he said yes, then told me to switch on my computer. I found that odd and said I use an Apple instead. He insisted he could fix it anyway. I told him to stop bothering me and hung up. He called back, threatening to block my computer in 30 minutes and got quite pushy, talking over me when I tried telling him to leave me be.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent at about 8 this morning. Claimed he was from Windows and my computer had an issue. I played along at first but then told him to find an honest job instead (something like that!). This was the third time I’d had the same call over the weekend.

Called by this number today around 9:43 in the morning on 02/11/2016. When I picked up, I stayed silent, then someone quickly said goodbye. Seeing what others have said here makes me wonder if it's linked because I had to ring up BT recently about a billing problem and spoke with someone who sounded Indian. I’m on the ex-directory list and usually don’t get random calls like this.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, saying he was from BT Connect. He claimed there was an issue with my PC and that if I didn’t cooperate, my computer would get locked and cut off from the internet. I told him I’d enjoy hearing a good scam story, but this wasn’t it - BT doesn’t handle my computer problems, and big firms like BT or Microsoft wouldn’t ring up customers directly about issues like that. Then, out of nowhere, he told me to stuff off and just hung up on me. Bit rude, innit?

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, saying he was from BT Connect and that there was some issue with my computer. He warned if I didn’t cooperate, my PC would get locked and lose internet access. I told him that as much as I enjoyed a decent con artist story, his attempt was weak - BT has nothing to do with my computer, plus big firms like BT or Microsoft don’t randomly ring customers about problems. Weirdly, he ended up telling me to shove off before slamming the phone down on me.

Got a call this morning around 8:35 from a bloke claiming to be from BT Openreach. He was saying my internet would get cut off if I didn't follow his instructions. Sounded like another Pakistani guy to me. I wasn't having any of it. I told him I actually work for BT Openreach and asked why he'd be ringing me up out of the blue, also asked for some sort of proof of who he was. After that, he just hung up on me.

I knew straight away it was a scam, so I told her to stop wasting my time and ended the call. These rubbish calls are so annoying. I’m registered with the TPS, yet it seems like they can’t do anything to stop them.

Got a call from a guy who said his name was Alan, claimed to be with BT. He kept insisting my internet and BTHUB would be switched off for five days while they fixed hacked accounts on my PC. The bloke had an Indian accent and this was the fifth time he’d rung me. Told him to get lost last week, but he just keeps coming back. Proper annoying.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from BT Connect. He told me there was some issue with my computer and warned that if I didn’t pay attention, my PC would get locked and cut off from the internet. I told him I appreciated his effort to pull off a scam, but frankly, his game was weak - firstly, BT has nothing to do with my computer, and secondly, big firms like BT or Microsoft don’t ring up customers about tech issues like this. Weirdly enough, he just told me to piss off and then ended the call.

Got a call earlier today around 3:50pm from some bloke who sounded like he was from India or Pakistan, but the phone connection was really bad. He asked, “Is the owner of this number there?” and then mentioned something about Windows. Bit odd since if you’re actually from Windows, you’d say Microsoft, right? Totally seemed like a scam to me. I’m reporting it to the police just to be on the safe side.

i got calls twice today, once early around 9 and then again just before half twelve but ignored both. some networks let you block numbers by entering a simple code after the call which is pretty handy.

I’m disabled and it’s really tough for me to even reach the phone when it rings, especially with calls from this number. They ring me about 4 or 5 times every week, and honestly, it’s starting to take a toll on my wellbeing. I just wish these calls would quit, it's not something anyone in my situation should have to deal with.

I tried calling back but after I blocked the number it showed as "busy" for about ten minutes. I couldn't make any calls and even 1471 didn't work until I totally unplugged the phone line and switched off the power to the terminal. It was only after that everything started working again.
