Got calls 3 times from 0016172727585 claiming I’m owed a refund from some airline. Sounds like a total scam. I’ve blocked the number already.

Didnt pick up, blocked the caller.

Received a ring from 0016108861870, but it went straight to voicemail and no message was left. Pretty sure it’s just another spam call. Added to block list.

This morning before 7:30, I got a call from 001612 6627063. The voice sounded foreign and we cut the call right after they said ‘hello’.

Got a call from some woman with a foreign accent saying she was from Amazon. She claimed I’d just spent £20,000 the night before and that my Amazon card got charged for it. She said if I didn’t make the purchase, they could sort a full refund and cancel the order. Then she started asking if I did online banking, and that’s when I ended the call.

0016139404475 called but I stayed quiet and they just ended the call. Around 3:30pm, something about cancelling Amazon prime? Not the first time this has happened!

Got a call claiming to be from Openreach about some internet issues, but couldn’t really make out the number properly. It showed as 0016162489488, which was a bit confusing.

I received a call from the number 00161### claiming to be from Amazon, stating they would take £### from my mother's account, who is visually impaired and ### years old. Naturally, I contacted the bank right away to alert them about any incoming transactions of that sort. Then, just two days later on the ### of July, another call came in, once again from someone pretending to be Amazon, trying to deduct £### from her account. It left me utterly baffled! I decided to ring ###, and to my surprise, it turned out to be a legitimate business line that had also experienced these calls. They've now involved a security firm to look into the matter.

Our BT Nuisance Call Blocker stopped 0016126855910 from ringing through because it would've asked the caller to say their name first. So the phone never actually rang. I'd guess it was probably a scam call.

Received a call during the wee hours, but there was complete silence on the line. Quite peculiar, really!

Got a call from 001616136553 saying my amazon prime was going to renew and they would take £39.99 outta my bank, told me to press 1 to cancel. It was a recorded woman with an american accent. I dont even have amazon prime.

My dad’s got terminal cancer and I’m meant to be expecting a call from the hospice, but these muppets reckon it’s fine to phone me at 7 in the bloody morning? Ridiculous.

If you’re with BT, just ring 1572# and do what it says to block the last caller. I get that these scammers use loads of different numbers, so it’s no miracle fix, but it does help a bit and keeps things a bit harder for them. Since I started blocking all the dodgy calls, I haven’t had too many come through lately, fingers crossed!!

Woke up to a call at nearly 4 in the morning. Seemed like young folks from the States with Indian roots. Totally rude.

I received a call today from a number starting with 00161###, claiming to be from BT regarding block numbers. To be honest, it all seemed a bit fishy, so I decided to hang up on him.

I got a call purportedly from the Telephone Preference Service. The caller was a woman speaking with a South Asian accent. The number displayed was 00161###. I decided it wasn't worth my time and ended the call promptly.

She mentioned that my IP address had been compromised. When I enquired about her location, she insisted she belonged to BT Network Services based in Newgate St, London. She further asserted that my IP address had switched from private to public. I told her I’d look into it and promptly ended the call. She had quite a convincing manner, but it became clear she was attempting to assist me in tidying up my computer, which signals a scam. Moreover, when have BT ever been so eager to reach out? It’s worth noting that I’m not even a BT client.

I chose not to pick up the phone as I didn't recognise the number that was calling.

The individual behind it seems to be blackmailing me and has even managed to breach my computer and phone, rummaging through my private information. It’s become quite a torment as I receive messages from him on a daily basis. I'm reaching out in hopes that you can intervene, as he’s intruding into my personal life and robbing me of my peace. Received another call today from this number, 00161###. Sadly, I picked up before I checked who it was. They were inquiring about an accident that I’ve never had! I hung up straight away.
