I answered but could hear some noise behind the caller, so I just hung up straightaway without saying anything. Felt like just another robocall to me.

I got a couple of calls in as many days from someone named Marcus who said he had great news for me. Since I was expecting a call from a business and couldn't quite catch what the bloke was saying, I decided to check the number using 1471. I tried ringing back the number, 00148081897777, but no one picked up.

This number calls me two or three times each day. I've since added it to my blocked contacts.

I’ve got a call-blocking system in place for numbers starting with 001, 002, and 003, so they don’t even get a chance to disrupt my day. Instead, they just get a polite message telling them to cease their attempts and hang up. Quite handy, really! Afterward, I’ll often use 1471 or check the TrueCall site to uncover who it was trying to reach me. My phone remains blissfully silent, which is precisely how I prefer it!

It rings twice, but nobody picks up.

I use a t#### call blocker that automatically stops calls starting with 001, 002, and 003. When these numbers try to ring me, they just get a message saying "we're not interested, please hang up and don't call again." I don't even hear my phone buzz. If I want to know who was trying to reach me, I just punch 1471 or check their site online. Honestly, this gadget keeps my life stress-free. For anyone fed up with spam calls, just get one of these blockers instead of whining - it's a proper easy fix.

I got a call with no number showing up on my phone. The bloke said his name was Sam Collins and claimed to be from Winners Lottery. I asked him several times for his phone number but all he did was keep talking nonsense. Eventually, he just hung up on me. When I checked the 1471 service, the number showed as 00148081897777.

I didn’t quite catch everything during the call, but I did gather that they possess some shares that have recently been offloaded from the FTSE 100, which I’d quite fancy getting my hands on. They seemed unfazed by my interest and ended the conversation abruptly.

I got called four times within just an hour, it's kinda annoying.

I’ve been getting calls from this number quite a bit lately, but I usually just let it go to voicemail. The one time I did pick up, it barely rang twice and then stopped ringing altogether :-S

Had a bunch of calls one after the other all in one day. Didn’t pick up, just hit 1471 to see who it was. Starting to think maybe BT or our internet providers know when you’re home by checking your data or something, and then pass that info on to these annoying callers. Or maybe I’m just being over paranoid LOL. Hang on, did I hear something? Okay, now I’m a bit creeped out! :D

Annoying call, really.

I've been receiving calls from these people about six times in quick succession, then there's a bit of a lull before they start ringing me again.
On one occasion, someone with an American twang informed me that I've made it onto their winners' roster.
Though I must say, I can hardly make out what they're saying half the time; it's all a bit garbled!

Over the last couple of days, they've managed to ring me up six times already.

Honestly, just block and remove this number from your contacts. It's really not worth answering, trust me.

This number has rung me several times in recent months. Whenever I pick up, the line just drops, and if I try to call back, it's always busy. I'm baffled how they managed to get hold of my ex-directory number - must've been leaked or sold at some point. Definitely some kind of scammer, and I'm planning to report them to the TPS.

I've received several calls from this number recently. They left a rather intriguing voicemail that hinted I might be one of their so-called 'winners' and urged me to get in touch with them. Quite the curious situation!

They’ve started giving me a ring, and it’s clear they just won’t accept that I’m not the person they’re after. I’m seriously contemplating giving them a bit of cheek, enough to make them squirm a bit. Should I uncover their identity, I shall not hesitate to serve them with a First and Final NOTICE regarding a Commercial Lien for Tort, and I assure you, it won't be for a penny less than £100,000.

At first, I couldn’t make head nor tail of what this guy from India or China was saying, it was just complete gibberish. After a while, it became clear he was trying to get me involved in some sort of lottery scam. I just gave up and ended the call, had already spent way too much time guessing what he was on about!

Got a call from 00148081897777, speaking in some pigeon English or something, saying I’d won the lottery or some rubbish like that. Total waste of time, they just want to get you to sign up for some costly scheme. I hung up straight away! Fingers crossed no elderly people fall for that nonsense.

This number keeps dialing my phone but there's never anyone on the line. After a few calls, I finally got a foreign-accented individual asking for someone who definitely doesn’t reside at this address. It's incredibly frustrating!
