For the past few days, this number has been ringing me a couple of times a day, but whenever I pick up, the call just cuts out. I've tried calling the number back but no luck, so now I just let it go to voicemail.

Someone called me at noon during my lunch hour, claiming there was some money owed to me. They seemed to have all my personal information, and provided a claim number: 110044225566, while introducing himself as David Martin. However, I suspect that name might not be genuine, as he had a rather thick accent that I couldn’t quite pinpoint. He mentioned that someone would reach out to me soon, but if they do, I plan on hanging up straight away.

They rang me but then just ended the call straight away.

Got a call earlier today from someone named Robin Wilson, definitely not from around here. Claimed to be from Claims Advisory Group, saying I'd been charged bank fees that no one ever mentioned. Sounds just like what others have shared here. I got an ID number and was told I'd hear back in about three days with details on the amount they'd send me by cheque. Didn’t ask for my bank info, but I did give my date of birth. I thanked him and said I’m eager to get that cheque. Mind you, I’m on the TPS with BT. How do these calls keep slipping through?!

The moment I picked up, the person on the other end just cut the call.

Since last year, this bloke keeps ringing me nearly every week with some new excuse. One time I told him I was tied up, and he just went quiet but didn’t actually hang up - it felt like he was still there listening. So I ended up ending the call myself. He’s always calling, no matter what time it is.

Received a call claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice regarding some supposed overpayments. The chap’s accent was rather thick, and when I probed for more information, he seemed to get rather anxious before abruptly disconnecting. I’m thoroughly exasperated with these incessant calls!

It’s rather desperate when they resort to calling people in their nineties, isn’t it?

Today, I received a rather baffling phone call from someone who evidently knew my name and wanted to chat. In response, I decided to reply with my thick Aussie twang, and wouldn’t you know it, he promptly ended the call! Quite the amusing turn of events, I'd say!

Received a call quite similar to what others have described. They had my address on hand and were keen to offer me money. When I declined, they sounded utterly perplexed. Obviously, they were trying to pry for my bank information. I decided it was best to just hang up.

When I answered, the line suddenly cut out on me.

This morning, my hubby picked up our phone, and when he asked the person on the other end who they were, the reply was ‘calling from the Ministry of Justice’. Sounds like a load of rubbish to me. I used 1471 to get the number and called it back, only to find it was an unknown one. Same old story. Whenever I get dodgy calls, I make sure to note down the number, just to be safe. These lot are total scams, no doubt about it.

I received a call at around 4:30 this afternoon. Upon picking up, there was a brief silence before a woman with a heavy Bangladeshi or Indian accent began speaking. She started with "Good day" but didn't bother to address me by name. She then said she was simply checking whether I... At that moment, I instantly grew suspicious, as I find that callers usually identify themselves or their company first. I promptly interjected, informing her that I wouldn’t be responding to any inquiries, explaining that I had no idea who she was and had no desire to continue the conversation. I then hung up. Got a call from this number earlier today claiming I was due a refund from social care. I just told the person to buzz off and to make sure they stop calling me again.

I’d like to give this rogue the shove as well! Planning to invest in some call-blocking gizmos, if you ask me!

Just like the others here, I got a call about a cheque they claimed was for me since the bank apparently charged me too much. I told them they had the wrong info - wrong name and number (which they actually didn’t). Still, the guy pressed me for my name ‘cause he said there was a cheque waiting. I let him go on for a bit, then mentioned I record my calls and that there would be consequences. Seriously, how on earth do they even get our names, addresses and numbers? It’s proper creepy.

Just like the others here, they said they had a cheque for me because my bank supposedly took too much money. I told them they got the wrong name and number (which they actually had correct), but still, the guy asked for my name anyway since the cheque was supposedly for me. I let him blab on for a bit before telling him I record all my calls and he’d regret messing with me. Seriously, where on earth do these people find our personal info and phone details?

Got a call at half past two this afternoon. An Indian chap with an accent said he was from a claims advisory company. He mentioned my name, which was a bit unsettling. I asked him if he believed I was daft enough to fall for his tricks. He promptly hung up.

Got a call from this number earlier tonight but all I could make out was some sort of noise or babble in the background. Figured I’d just let them gab away and maybe waste their minutes instead. They eventually ended the call after about five mins. I’ve jotted down the number so I can keep an eye on my phone statement to be safe.

They keep ringing but no one ever answers here.

Those scam calls from some Indian numbers are just a nightmare. If I were you, I’d grab a BT 8600 Advanced Call Blocker - it’s a lifesaver. Once I got it, those annoying calls never bothered me again. Honestly, it’s well worth it to avoid all that rubbish.

Received a couple of calls last night and another one at half past nine this morning. Thankfully, I’ve got Guardian set up on my phone, so they couldn't connect. I’m guessing it must be various members of staff attempting to pull a fast one on me.

I've just received my second call from the number mentioned, with someone wanting to chat about bank charges related to my mum's account. Given that she's 86 and suffering from dementia, I firmly asked them to refrain from calling my number again for her. During the conversation, I asked for the direct number of his mother or grandmother so I could reach out to them instead, but he claimed those details were confidential. Frustrated, I told him politely yet firmly to go away, to which he responded that I was being disrespectful and labelled my customer service as appalling, even suggesting I wash my mouth out. How charming!

Got a call from some Asian lady who wanted to talk to me. She already knew my name and told me I was due some money back from the bank for charges. I told her straight up that I don’t deal with calls like this, and if I was really owed cash, the bank would contact me directly, not her. Then she just hung up on me.

I've been receiving calls where the moment I pick up, the other person hangs up. It's been rather odd, as this has occurred repeatedly over the last four days. Quite perplexing, I must say!

Some bloke called me up with this thick accent, real difficult to catch what he was babbling on about. He asked me to say my name and where I live but I didn’t say a thing, just asked him who he was. He didn’t answer, just started blabbering about a refund for bank fees I had supposedly overpaid and claimed he’d been in touch with the UK Government. I just told him to jog on and not ring me back ever again.

Today, I had an unexpected phone call from someone identifying himself as Sam Oxlade, claiming to represent the UK Claims Advisory Group. What truly alarmed me was how he seemed to already possess my name, address, and other sensitive financial details. The only piece of information he requested from me was my date of birth. He mentioned that a cheque, allegedly sanctioned by the High Justice Court, would be sent my way. However, there was a catch - I needed to be able to walk to the bank to cash it, and he insisted on knowing which bank I used. To top it off, he indicated I'll be receiving a follow-up call from their 'quality department', furnishing me with supposed answers to any questions they might pose. This whole affair feels quite dodgy, and I genuinely believe this individual should be reported. I've taken the initiative to alert the genuine UK Claims Advisory Group, as this chap is clearly masquerading as one of their staff members.

I picked up and they just cut off right away. I'm a bloke in my 40s. Feels like they were probably after a woman at home to try and trick or something.

I tried to ring back, but the number seems to be unreachable.

Got a call from a woman with a strong accent claiming to be from the UK Ministry of Justice, saying I'd been hit with bank and building society fees for like the last 20 years. When I asked where exactly she was calling from, she just ended the call straight away.

Received a call from Claims Advisory Group saying I was owed a refund for bank fees. Problem is, I’ve never actually paid any charges like that!

Constantly getting calls with no one on the other end - what a nuisance! Definitely recommend steering clear of this number. It’s just not worth the hassle or the wasted time!

Got a call where someone just kept saying “hello” a few times and then went quiet, leaving the phone on the line for a while. I heard some voices in the back but no one said anything before they suddenly ended the call. Proper rude!

This number has rung me a few times but never actually got through - probably just one of those typical spam calls.

I got a call from this number saying they were returning some money that had supposedly been stuck in my account. When I asked them to send me something in writing to explain it, they just ended the call. Proper frustrating!

Upon picking up the call from this number, I found myself echoing everything that was said to me. He then threatened to sort me out and began reciting my address. At that point, I decided it was best to hang up. I'll be informing the authorities about this incident.

Received a call earlier today, but the caller didn't stick around.

A lady rang me up, claiming to be Barbara. She had my name and address to hand, then proceeded to inquire about my date of birth. When I declined to provide it, she responded with a "why?" I simply said I wasn't comfortable sharing that and ended the call. Interestingly, she mentioned she was calling on behalf of the British Government. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from someone claiming they were looking to refund some money that my bank had erroneously charged me. They then requested that I confirm my address. I replied that I never provide personal information over the phone and promptly ended the conversation.

I encountered a rather unpleasant gentleman who flatly refused to give his name or explain why he was calling. Quite bewildering, really.
