Got a call from 001445334134 claiming to be from Sky, looks like a scam. They tried to get me to put £400 into my account, so watch out and dont fall for it!

Got a call at 11:05 pm, which seems quite odd to me.

This number 001441162163547 rang me up today claiming I'd fallen prey to some kind of fraud. I just hung up straight away and reported it. Watch out, it's definitely a scam and could be risky.

I think this number is a scam linked to some dodgy stuff about BT internet. Don’t ring them back, it’s an automated message from 00144853877986 ?? The call came from Mozambique. I’m in the UK and I don’t even use BT internet.

Got a robocall from a bloke saying he was from BT. Said there was weird stuff happening on my internet and phone and they were gonna cut the service off unless I pressed 1 to talk to someone. I just ended the call right there.

Got a call from 0014410247232, but no voicemail was left. The country code seems to point to Mozambique, but it kinda looks like the UK’s dialing code which confused me when I searched online. Eventually, I found some alerts saying calls starting with 00144 might be risky. Be cautious, folks!

Got a call from 001443451200805 with some automated voice claiming to be MasterCard and visa fraud alert. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Just got a call about a supposed £599 charge on my visa, total scam again today.

Got a robocall about some visa payment, said to press 1 if it wasnt me. Number was 001441984525592. Just hang up, dont push any buttons or ring them back.

Got a ring on my landline from 01441984527597 sayin’ thanks for a “donation” of £599.85! That had me doubting right away coz there’s no way I’d ever give that kinda silly amount!!

Got a robocall from 001441662820 claiming to be Mastercard security about some suspect purchase. I just hung up straight away - figured it had to be a scam.

001445540338926 It's some kind of automated calling, keeps ringing nonstop. Got about 6 calls from this number just today alone.

Got a call on Thursday 7/11/2019 at 8 in the morning, some automated message saying I missed a call. I'm ex-directory so I knew straight away, before 9 o'clock, it was one of those scam calls. This was the third one I got like this within a day. I've now reported it to BT and OFCOM, waiting to see what happens.

Got a robocall from 001441526864565 with some computer voice claiming to be Mastercard Visa talking about a £600 purchase made 15 mins ago abroad. They told me to press 1 to connect with security. Total scam, obviously. This is like the 10th time in 4 days I’ve had a call from this very number!!!

I've had two calls from this number today, claiming my Visa debit card had been used to withdraw £600, and then instructed me to press 1. Whatever you do, don’t engage with them. My bank has assured me it's a scam.

I got a call from 001441734789545 claiming to be from BT, saying if I didnt comply, my internet would be cut off. They said my IP address was being used in Las Vegas or something. I didn’t buy it at all because BT isn’t even my provider. They warned me my internet would stop in 2 hours if I didn’t cooperate. Total scam, avoid!

Got a call from 001448764789####, they kept trying to make me open some ‘validator’ thing. Said they were from BT and that my internet was slow. Total scam, just hang up straight away!

Got a call from 001441389142353, said they were from BT and there was an issue with my internet. Thing is, I don’t even have BT! They tried to convince me with fake details. I pretended to go along with it for a bit and got handed over to their ‘manager’. They asked me to download some software to get remote access to my computer. If I had, they could’ve had full control and possibly stolen bank info. When I said I thought they were up to no good, the so-called manager started saying really nasty stuff about my mum.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent just prattling on nonsense. I ended up hanging up, proper annoyed with this bloody scammer.

I had a pair of calls come through today from the numbers 001446244931010 and 001447340942791, and they were only moments apart. This raised some serious red flags about potential dodgy dealings on our provider's end. Luckily, we suspected it was a scam right away, so we just cut the line without second thoughts.

Got a call from 00144 195 946 2029 this morning about 8.30. Like others here have said, there was a recorded message warning that my internet would be disconnected within 24 to 48 hours due to some illegal activity. They say they’re from my internet provider but dont actually say who they are. They told me to press 1 to talk to an ‘executive’. Had the exact same call yesterday but from a different number (01231 830046). Seems like a proper scam to me.

Got a recorded call from 001441298615716 saying my internet service would be cut off in 24 hours due to some illegal stuff. They told me to press 3 to call back. I just ignored it. Before, the caller mentioned BT, but this time they didn’t say which provider it was.

00144 is a risky number - definitely block it!

I received a call from the number 00144199069, but I'm completely in the dark as to who it could be. I chose not to pick up, considering I've had five dubious calls this week alone. This one came through at half past one on the 26th of August, 2019. Honestly, I’m quite fed up with these mystery calls; it’s been a daily occurrence with two or three different numbers ringing in my direction. I'm starting to suspect it’s all part of some dubious scam. I've had calls from China, Indonesia, and Australia, all from various numbers, and now this one adds to the list. Isn’t it just infuriating that these callers can simply dial any number and get away with it? Why isn’t there more being done by the authorities to put a stop to these pesky scammers? I don't recognise anyone from these locations, which just adds to my suspicion they’re up to no good.

Got a call on 20/08/19 from a woman with an Indian accent pretending to be from BT, saying there was some dodgy activity on my server and asked me to link up my computer. I played along but I knew it was dodgy, so I kept messing with her until she got proper annoyed, then told her I wasn’t from BT and to jog on, you muppet. Then I got another call threatening to cut my internet if I didn’t press 1, same scam again. Now these muppets keep ringing but no one ever picks up. Must've really pissed them off!

Just like others mentioned, this seems to be a recycled attempt of the unsuccessful DD scam.

BT's 1572 service provides a fantastic way to fend off numerous recognised scam numbers, though you do need to request it be added to your account initially. It's an incredibly useful option that can effectively cut off scammers after just one ring. Should a scammer manage to slip through the cracks, your guidance is spot on - as long as you're registered for 1572, you can simply call 1572 after receiving that pesky call and you’ll have the opportunity to blacklist the last number that attempted to contact you. Let’s hope this helps keep those nuisances at bay!

Got a call from 001441722327997 with a recorded voice saying it was BT, warning that my phone and broadband would be cut off unless I pressed option 1 or 2. I’m not even a BT customer, and this is the third time I’ve had the same message this past few months. Ignored it every time and nothing’s happened, so it’s obvious a scam.

Got a call from 001441292162993 today, saying they were from BT and warned that if we didn’t fix the computer right away, our phone and internet would be cut off straight away. The person sounded really pushy! Definitely a scam! Watch out!

THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY FROM BT, but it’s just a dodgy scammer from somewhere overseas. I blocked the 01989736841 number earlier today, and then this arsehole called again from 001441934340358 later on. Blocked that one as well. Honestly, I reckon some people might actually get fooled by this rubbish.
