I answered and heard "hello" being said twice, then suddenly an automated voice came on claiming if I had malware issues with my computer I should press 1 to speak with a so-called expert. I just hung up straight away after that.

I received a call today from yet another individual touting a complimentary boiler, claiming it’s part of some government initiative for those on benefits. Honestly, I’m inundated with these calls every single day; it’s primarily automated messages and numbers that are withheld. Is there truly no way to put a stop to these nuisances? It feels like a complete violation of my privacy!

The bloke on the phone was really hard to understand, his accent was all over the place and it sounded like he was taking the mick. He kept saying something about my computer but it was so mumbley I lost track and just ended the call. Definitely didn’t seem genuine at all.

I've received a call from this number, but there was no one on the other end-just a beep and then silence. They've rung me about four times now, and I really hope they don’t attempt to contact me again. Could it possibly be some sort of trickster or a ghost?

We recently received a call from these chaps claiming that we've won a prize - a six-day trip to Australia, no less! To make matters more amusing, they addressed me as Mrs. Mackenzie. We played along for a bit on the phone, feigning interest, but ultimately hung up on them. What a cheek!

I recently encountered a company called 'Smart Getaways' that claims if you fork out $149 using your credit card, they'll send you a load of vouchers for budget accommodation throughout Australia and New Zealand. They were quite forthcoming with their details based in Melbourne, but as soon as we hesitated to share our personal information, their attitude took a downward turn. Quite off-putting, to say the least!

We’ve received three of these calls, and despite having a preferred line for personal use, they haven’t removed me from their records. The explanation I got was that this number is allegedly logged as a business contact. Quite frustrating, isn’t it?

We've had a call from this number today as well. It appears to be an American woman on the other end, but I ended up hanging up the phone. Quite a peculiar situation, if you ask me! 😄

We’ve got three of these pesky rings, and although I possess a preferred line for individuals, it seems these folks haven’t bothered to scrub me from their database. Their explanation was that it was allegedly listed as a business contact number. Blimey!

I've been receiving calls from 001234567890, and whenever I pick up, there's just dead air on the line. Before I can even say anything, a mechanical voice chimes in with a curt "goodbye," and then the call disconnects. Quite perplexing, isn't it?

They have awful English and somehow know our name, saying they’re from Microsoft to fix driver issues. I told them to get lost. Since we have caller ID now, we just don’t pick up. These lot ring us twice every day, once at lunch and again in the evening.

So, this number 001234567890 keeps ringing us - honestly, it's been like eight times today! We've pressed '3' on our phone every time they call, and we've heard some woman, presumably named "Rachel," declare that we're supposedly removed from their calling list. Here's hoping that actually does the trick, as it's driving us absolutely bonkers!

Got a call from these folks today, but it didn't register on the answerphone. I tried giving them a ring back, only to hear, "You've reached an invalid number." How odd!

We’ve received calls from this number three times, all directed towards our PRIVATE number. We’re baffled as to how they’ve managed to get hold of it. Each time I answered, they’d ask if I spoke English. I promptly hung up again (twice, in fact). Quite vexing, I must say!

This morning, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise. On the initial attempt, the caller asked if I spoke English. I chose not to respond and simply hung up. Approximately two hours later, I got a call from 0890, which I also decided not to answer. Now, there’s a further call coming in from 001234567890.

Here we go once more! Just had a call from an Indian lady saying, “I am ringing about your computer, I work for Windows, and there’s been a malware issue on your device.” It's the same old story!

This morning, we received three phone calls from this number. The first time, it came up as private, and they asked, “Do you speak English?” I chose not to reply. After a couple of hours, the same thing happened, but this time the number was visible; they posed the same question, and once again, I didn’t respond. Then, a couple more hours passed, and I answered the call. I stayed silent, and all I could hear was a repeated “hello.” Eventually, I hung up.

I've been getting calls from this number for ages now and it’s really starting to irritate me. Every time I pick up, there's utter silence, then an answerphone just says "goodbye". I tried ringing back to voice my displeasure, but it turns out the number isn’t valid. What a nuisance!

I received a few calls from this number earlier today, but we didn’t bother to pick up. The voicemail sounded distinctly American, which was a bit odd. When we tried to call back, the number didn’t seem to be valid at all. Quite peculiar!

Earlier today, we tried calling 1471 and received a message indicating that the number 001234567890 had called us the other day at precisely 6:44 in the evening. Wanting to return the call, we dialled 3 only to be met with an automated response in an American lady’s voice, which informed us that we had entered an incorrect code. The message advised us to verify the region code and to try again. What a nuisance!

I've received calls from this number three times in the past four hours, yet each time there's no one on the other end when I pick up. It's baffling, especially considering my telephone preference settings should prevent these sorts of nuisance calls. Why are they still managing to come through?

I've been on the receiving end of calls from the number 001234567890, and each time we answer, it’s just an empty silence on the line. Sometimes there’s a recorded voice saying goodbye before the call just cuts off, which is quite frustrating, to say the least. I've already reached out to my phone provider to have a look into this pesky nuisance. When I try calling the number back, all I get is a series of beeping sounds, indicating that the number isn’t valid. It’s really getting on my nerves!

I’ve just received yet another dodgy call from the same old fool who clearly reckons I’m gullible. He went on about how my computer's been infected with some kind of virus-yawn! I received a rather curious phone call today from someone claiming to be Tony, although his accent was quite peculiar and foreign. He insisted that there was an issue with my computer, but I swiftly told him I couldn't chat as I was engrossed in Wimbledon on telly! That put an end to the conversation! Of course, I couldn’t resist doing a 1471 afterwards, which is just my habit, and surprise, surprise, the number he called from was 001234567890. Yeah, as if I’d fall for that!

Echoing what several have mentioned: I received a rather dubious call claiming to be from the Internet, telling me that my computer's performance was subpar and that he could assist in rectifying the issue. I made it clear that I wasn’t familiar with his organisation, asserting that I exclusively engage with Microsoft, then promptly ended the call. Curiously enough, just a day prior, my computer fell victim to a Zbot infiltration. I've since altered my passwords, and it appears that the Microsoft system has successfully encrypted the pesky trojan.

There's this chap with an accent reminiscent of Peter Sellers, who keeps harassing us endlessly - it’s rather ridiculous, if I’m honest! He claims to be from a global tech outfit and insists our computer has been infected by a virus. Can you imagine? I asked him to shove off, yet yesterday he left a staggering 24 messages while we were out and about. Today, one of his shady mates rang us up yet again, so I had to disconnect the phone just to silence these relentless, deceitful nuisances. It really is high time someone put an end to their antics!

Haha, just received a call from this number claiming to be from the World Wide Web, stating there was an issue with my computer. I played along, acting all flustered as if I’d jump on my PC for some help. I made out that my computer had crashed badly and needed a virus scan. I kept assuring him that it was booting up, but then I suddenly "realised" I was entering my password incorrectly! I told him I’d have to plonk the phone down while I sorted it out. All the while, my computer was completely off, not even plugged in, while I was busy checking on dinner! In the end, he seemed to lose interest once I mentioned my daughter had yanked the plug out and I’d have to restart the whole process. It’s infuriating, really, as someone I know who suffered a stroke was a victim to these lowlifes. Absolutely detest them!

I just received a rather dubious call from this number. The chap claimed to be Kevin Watson from a web address, but his accent was distinctly Indian or Pakistani. He insisted I had issues with my computer, to which I replied that everything was functioning just fine. Undeterred, he then claimed I had a virus. That was enough for me! I told him to get lost and cut the call. Honestly, it felt great to hang up on him first. I'm thoroughly exasperated with these sorts of calls, not to mention the silent ones or those pesky calls where they hang up as soon as you answer!

I’ve had my fair share of these pestering calls before, telling me there’s a virus lurking on my computer. Just earlier, they rang up asking for a Mrs Wood.
