She wasn't sure what the caller wanted so she handed me the phone. Right away the woman on the line started shouting and wouldn't let me get a word in. When I asked her why she was being so rude to a customer, she told me to buzz off because I was interrupting her chat with my mum. I told her I'm a computer engineer, which I am, and that there’s nothing wrong with mum’s internet or computer, plus we're not even with BT. Then she just told me to f*** off and hung up. She told me some nonsense about hackers using foreign IPs to mess with my internet and insisted I turn on my computer right away and follow her steps. I played along for a bit just to waste her time, and she got really annoyed and was about to pass me to her “manager” when I just ended the call.
