Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, but after doing a quick check, it turns out they definitely aren’t! Total scam, be careful!

Got a call earlier from 00101### but didn’t answer it since it felt dodgy, especially after a similar one a few days back where some woman, with an Indian accent, claimed BT were about to cut off my internet. It was clearly some robot at first, then that woman came on chuckling like she was having a giggle with her mates at work. But as soon as she spoke, it was all nonsense, so I just ended the call.

I left a comment and then like thirty minutes later, the same number rang me again.

Today I’m struggling to deal with this pesky number: 00101### as of ###/###/###.

I’ve decided to just turn off my voicemail and block that number completely. Chances are they’ll ring from different numbers next, so I’m not even gonna turn the voicemail back on.

While I was at my grandma's place, her phone rang and the caller ID showed 00101###. Fortunately, I understand English quite well. The lady on the other end was asking something about a Windows computer.

Got a call from 00101### around 9.### pm, without any greeting or saying who they were. They wanted to speak to me, but when I said I wasn’t free, they abruptly demanded to know who I was instead. I then asked them to identify themselves, and that’s when they just hung up.

Got a call from 00101### at 4 in the morning and it totally disturbed my sleep. Sounds like a pesky spammer to me.

I got a call from a number starting with 00101### while I was in New Zealand. The guy on the other end sounded Indian and said something about my computer, especially Windows. I told him I don’t use Windows, which seemed to confuse him a lot. Then I told him he was probably trying to scam me, and he just ended the call. This was on the ###th of May ###.

This number rings me loads of times each day, it's mad. Thankfully, I've got a BT Guardian on my landline which stops all these annoying calls. If I check the missed calls, there’s usually around ### to ### of these scam calls every single day. It’s not just this one though, there’s a whole bunch of different dodgy numbers ringing constantly!

For the past couple of days, this number keeps calling me roughly every ### minutes. The person on the other end sounded like they were from India and said they could help with our utility standing charges. We only picked up the first time and then ignored all the others, but they just won't stop. We've blocked the number so it hangs up after one ring, yet it still manages to call through. It's really annoying!

I'm pretty sure this phone number is linked to a loan business named Leads Valley. From what I can tell, they don’t seem to be an officially registered company, so it’s possible this number isn’t genuine.
