I missed a call from a 099 number, it rang a few times when I wasn’t home. When I tried to call back, it just wouldn’t connect, which always makes me a bit wary.

They just straight up denied recognising the number, so I’d steer clear. They push their stuff really aggressively - not a pleasant experience at all.
