Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft. I kept chatting to the woman for more than 15 minutes until she finally caught on that I wasn’t taking it seriously.

My partner got a call from this number just now, from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He kept insisting he could fix our computer issues and kept pushing my partner to log in, even after he said he was a police officer, which I thought would make him hang up straight away! In the end, my partner asked for his name and contact details, and he was given: Patrick Williams, 207 Thelma Road, Leicester. When I looked up that address, it showed up as Money Advice Bureau in Leicester, but it seems to be false and the place doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Watch out for these types of calls - they’re very persistent and confident, and will do whatever to keep you talking.

On 3rd June 2015 at about 10:53 in the morning, this number rang me. When I answered, there was only silence for a bit. After I kept saying "Hello," a man with an Asian accent finally spoke up and claimed he was from Tech Support. As if any legit company would ring you without warning about an issue! Trying to get through to your actual provider is a difficult enough task when you’re the one making the call. Plus, this bloke clearly had no clue who he was calling because he couldn’t even say my name. I’ve come across calls like this before, so I told him straight up he was a fraud and hung up.

Today at around 11:30 am, 2/6/15, I got a call from this number just when I was expecting a really important call from the hospital about my granddaughter, who had been taken in suddenly. Hurriedly, I tried to get down the stairs to pick up before it stopped ringing, but I ended up tumbling down the steps. The man on the phone, who sounded Indian, said something about my computer. I’m 71 and already have disabilities, now made worse by that nasty fall.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, wanting my info. I just told them to jog on and they quickly ended the call. There’s no way Microsoft would reach out like that.

On 19th May 2015, around 10.15pm, I received a call from this number. Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed he was from 'Windows' and warned me that hackers were trying to break into my computer. He then told me to turn on my PC (which was already on) and said he’d assist me in fixing the issue. Luckily, I could tell it was a scam and that he was probably the one wanting to get into my computer. I politely declined and ended the call. Just a heads up - I'm quite sure Microsoft never reaches out to people like this.

So, Lifestyle Avenue has called me about six times last Saturday, then three times on Monday and twice on Tuesday, with the latest ring at 10.15pm. Every time I picked up, they hung up straight away. I kept telling them I don’t do surveys and asked them not to call again, but they always promise it’ll only take two minutes and that they won’t bother me anymore. Funny thing is, a few times I said no, and they just cut me off while I was still talking!
