I received a call from this number, which I assume is international. When I picked up, I could clearly hear some background noise on the other side, but nobody uttered a word in response to my greetings. Eventually, they just ended the call. Curiosity got the better of me, so I redialled, only to be met with a recorded message from Telstra, advising me that the number couldn’t be reached. I was instructed to double-check the digits and to give it another go. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

Today, I received a phone call from a chap who had an Asian accent. He urged me not to disconnect the call, assuring me it wasn’t a sales pitch but something pertaining to my computer from Microsoft. Curious about how he would respond, I cheekily remarked that I was at the police station and inquired how I could assist him. To my surprise, he retorted with a rather rude “You f..k off” before promptly ending the call!

I've had yet another call from this number today. They're incredibly tenacious, I must say. A woman with an Asian accent was on the line and asked for me by name. It was obvious what the conversation would entail - she claimed it was concerning my computer. I swiftly ended the call and added her number to my block list, but it appears they’ve got a whole arsenal of different numbers to dial from. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of these scams - if you get a call, just hang up!

I received a rather peculiar phone call the other day. The chap on the other end inquired about the homeowner by name. When I mentioned that they weren't in, he asked me who I was. I explained that I was responsible for the property, to which he audibly scoffed and accused me of lying. Then he mumbled something about a computer. Trying to clarify, I reiterated that I wasn't the homeowner, but he persisted, calling me a liar once more and insisted I must be family. I was bewildered, asking him to repeat himself, and all he could say, rather condescendingly, was that I was indeed lying before abruptly hanging up. This little exchange took place at 09:30 on Wednesday, the 19th of August. Quite the unusual interaction, if you ask me!

Naturally, I flatly refused to take any instructions from him or anyone else for that matter. The moment he realised his tactics weren’t working, he morphed into this nasty piece of work, hurling insults and calling me daft while telling me to clear off. I calmly responded that I’d quite like to do just that and urged him not to bother calling me again. It’s ironic, as he had just mentioned that the call was being recorded, yet he was the one swearing and carrying on. I told him quite bluntly that he clearly wasn’t affiliated with Windows and promptly hung up. Honestly, this was by far the most appalling of such calls I’ve encountered, and I dread to think how it might unsettle those more vulnerable than myself.

A couple of hours later, the phone rang again, but I decided to let it ring incessantly for about five minutes until they finally backed off. It's the typical lot of scammers from overseas looking to prey on those who aren't particularly tech-savvy. Their tactic is to remotely access your computer with the aim of siphoning personal information, like banking details, or to swindle you out of cash for "repairs" that your computer simply doesn’t require. Honestly, it's appalling how low these criminals will stoop!

This morning at 8:40, I picked up a call from this number. Typically, I steer clear of unfamiliar callers, but something about this one caught my attention. Given that I have family living overseas, I thought it prudent not to leave it unanswered. Strangely enough, there was complete silence on the other end, even though I could tell the line was active. So, I promptly hung up. Quite puzzled about the reason behind the call, but at least it’s a refreshing break from the usual "Microsoft" calls, constantly trying to inform me of some supposed issue with my computer!

I received a call from this number, and given that it showed up as an American number, I thought it might be a relative, as I have family across the pond. When I answered, a man with a foreign accent asked to speak to either my husband or myself, explicitly using our full names. When I acknowledged that I was on the line, he started rambling on at such speed that I couldn't make heads or tails of what he was saying. It felt like he got a bit annoyed with me for not understanding, and he repeated himself more forcefully. At that moment, I had to admit I was lost and asked who he was. Without another word, he just hung up. Now I'm quite anxious about it, especially since he seemed to know our names. Who could these people be, and what was the purpose of their call? I recently encountered a rather unsettling phone call from an Asian gentleman, who asserted he was from the Windows Support Centre.

When I mentioned that my computer was functioning flawlessly, he had the audacity to call me a 'liar.' Upon requesting that he send me an email to confirm his identity, he retorted, “I’m not your ruddy servant!”

What puzzled me was that he had my home address, landline, and mobile number at his fingertips.

The number he rang from was 01989 8284 628. Quite frankly, he didn’t bother me too much, but had he called my mother, I fear she may have succumbed to his demands without hesitation.

This individual truly ought to be apprehended and put a stop to.

I received a call from this number earlier today-turns out it’s from Australia. I wouldn't be surprised if their government wanted a word about this sort of thing, considering it could involve harassment between Commonwealth nations. I received a call claiming there was an issue with my computer linked to Microsoft. When I questioned him about how they acquired my information, he audaciously stated it was through Microsoft. I pointed out that this was a blatant violation of data protection laws, prompting him to fetch his supervisor. When the supervisor came on the line, I reiterated that these sorts of calls are illegal. The response? A dismissive, “Who says?” to which I calmly replied, “The British government.” At that moment, he became quite rude, hurling expletives at said government. I must admit, I lost my cool and shot back with a few choice words myself before hanging up in frustration. As a side note, I’ve also tried a rather cheeky tactic where I tell them my windows don’t have any issues-they open and shut perfectly and let the sunshine in while the double glazing keeps the noise at bay. That seems to leave them speechless!

After a bit, the caller mustered a rather colourful vocabulary when he figured out I wasn’t following his instructions, calling me all sorts of names-clearly, he'd had a hearty breakfast of profanity! I received a call from someone claiming to be from Windows technical support, insisting that my computer was having problems. The thing is, I've actually had my PC unplugged for the past three months because we've turned our office into a nursery for the twins. When I queried how they could possibly be aware of any issues, he confidently replied, "obviously."
