11 yearsGot a call from 0019892520438 not long ago. The bloke sounded like he was from some kind of call centre, with a noticeable Indian accent, I think. He said he was calling on behalf of TalkTalk and warned me that my computer was hacked and 97.8% compromised. He rattled off some weird “codes” to prove he was legit, but I wasn’t convinced at all. I told him to ring back later because something felt off. I also said I’d reach out to TalkTalk and my cybersecurity provider to check what’s really going on. After that, he went silent and I doubt he’ll get in touch again. Looks like the scam is to get you to let them access your PC remotely, then charge you £££ and ask for your bank info.
