Just had a rather odd phone call at 18:09 today from the number +19177175948. The caller asked, "Who am I?" and proceeded to mention my name, claiming that I'd won a green card before abruptly hanging up. Now, I’m reaching out to all my friends here-I've got a few queries. What are the proper terms and conditions from the organisers of this supposed competition? Is there any way to get in touch with them? And does anyone know if there’s an official website related to green cards? I'd appreciate any guidance you can offer. Cheers!

I received a phone call earlier today regarding the possibility of moving to Canada. To my surprise, they already had my wife's name on hand. After running through a few inquiries about our employment and earnings, they pushed for our credit card information to make a £771 payment that supposedly would facilitate our entire family's relocation to Canada without delay. I must say, it stank of a scam-please don’t share any personal information with them!

I had a rather concerning phone call today regarding an immigration visa to Canada. The caller bombarded me with questions, and I began to feel uneasy when they mentioned needing to check with their supervisor about the appropriate visa for me. Eventually, they claimed I needed a student visa and insisted that I provide my credit card details and security number. At that moment, I realised it was a scam, and I promptly ended the call.

I received a call from them as well. As soon as they began probing for my bank card details, I sensed that something was amiss. Honestly, the idea of paying any fees later is simply not something I can entertain. They might come across as polished and charming, almost like they're auditioning for a talent show, but trust me, it's best to steer clear of them entirely. Just ignore it altogether!

I received a rather peculiar call from this number, wherein the caller inquired about my interest in working and relocating to Australia. Naturally, they then asked for the initial digits of my bank account number, claiming it was essential for some sort of verification process. I firmly declined to provide any information, yet they persisted, trying to reassure me of its necessity. Their tactics were quite smooth, almost as if they were attempting to lull me into compliance. Clearly, they’re either dodgy telemarketers or outright scammers.

Oh, I can relate! Just today, I received a rather peculiar call from someone probing into my personal affairs. They inquired about my profession, earnings, and even my credit card details. The chap exclaimed, "You’re quite fortunate!" before dropping the bombshell that it would cost me a staggering £750! I must admit, it sent shivers down my spine. When he pressed for my card numbers, I made up an excuse, saying I didn't have them at hand. To my surprise, he said he would ring back tomorrow! If anyone’s got suggestions on how to dodge these pesky callers, I would be most grateful!

What a dodgy affair! I've no clue how this individual managed to get hold of my number, but it's clear they weren't from my circle. The conversation was sheer nonsense, completely irrelevant to my existence. I firmly expressed that there must have been some mistake, insisting that the number couldn’t be mine. Then, just like that, she cut the call. Quite the peculiar situation, I must say!

Currently, I'm in the UAE and not long ago, I inquired about employment opportunities and work visas for Canada. Out of the blue, I noticed that I'd missed three calls from this number after leaving my phone unattended in my room for a while. Given that I’m applying for a nursing position abroad, I didn’t think much of it at first. I did, however, check the calling code and saw it was from New York, which just so happens to be where I submitted my CV the previous week. When I managed to call back, a deep male voice responded, and I immediately felt something was off, which prompted me to look up the number online. I appreciate any insights on this, as it all unfolded in the last half hour. I'm definitely going to block this number without delay!

I've had a phone call from this number, and I’m a bit in the dark about whether it’s legitimate or just another dodgy scam. They were chatting about Canadian immigration visas, but I hesitated to pursue the conversation any further since they started asking for money. I recently entered my phone information on a website related to immigration or work in Canada, only to be confronted with a request for a payment exceeding $700 in US dollars to assess my *eligibility* for moving there. Thankfully, I don’t possess one, so they couldn’t get anything from me. I rang back the number they used to contact me, and it turns out it's a New York area code. Quite the cheek, as she claimed to be calling from the UK. What dodgy blighters!

I’ve received a multitude of calls urging me to apply for the Lottery Green Card to the States. I did go ahead and submitted my application, as well as made a payment to them. However, after reading various comments on this site, I’m starting to worry that it could all be a con!

I received a call today, the 13th of September 2015, from an agency claiming to assist with Canadian immigration. Strangely, they had both my name and email address on hand.

What a complete and utter rip-off! Today, our manager received a call from this dodgy number, and they were fishing for bank details. The second time around, I picked up the phone. When I informed them our manager was occupied, they cheekily asked, "He’s your manager, is he?" To which I replied in the affirmative, and without missing a beat, the caller abruptly said, "Right, right," before hanging up rather quickly. It was as though they were scared off!

I had a similar experience! This bloke inquired about my educational qualifications and work history, and just when I thought it was a routine chat, he requested my debit or credit card's six-digit code. Naturally, I declined to provide any such information.

I was instructed to expect a call back, yet there was no follow-up... I'm completely unfamiliar with this number, and it’s the first time they’ve reached out to me. It’s not saved in my contacts at all. Do you reckon this might be a scam?

I received a rather suspicious call today from a woman inquiring about my salary and requesting credit card details. I decided to fib about everything, as I had no clue how she obtained my number. It was rather unsettling how keen she seemed to perpetrate her scam, so I chose to terminate the call. It's quite baffling how they managed to have my number and know I’m in this country - I’m puzzled as to how she came by that information!

I received a call a couple of days back regarding the number mentioned in the subject. During our conversation, which lasted about a quarter of an hour, the person on the other end started inquiring about my Mastercard’s six-digit code. I mistakenly shared that number, but he claimed it wasn’t sufficient for their needs. Subsequently, he opted to send an email regarding a payment transaction for Visa. I would appreciate it if you could provide an update on this matter at your earliest convenience. It seems quite a few people have had similar experiences to mine.

Blimey, I got a phone call yesterday from someone claiming I was eligible for a job in Canada, seeing as I'm a millwright. Quite the smooth talker, this chap - he even had the cheek to ask for my credit card details! Luckily, I didn't have a penny in the account anymore and don't use the card at all these days. But what threw me was how clued up he was about places in South Africa; it was as if he’d done his homework just to win me over. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I recently completed a form on xforex, and shortly after, I received a call from a chap named Ivan from Manila. He requested the last three digits of my ATM card. I opted not to share that information. Is xforex just another scam then?

I received a call from this number yesterday, but I didn't pick up since it was late in the evening. Afterward, I looked it up on Google, which led me to this site. Honestly, I wouldn't bother answering - it's a real time-waster. And trust me, if you're not too sharp, you might end up losing some cash too!

This evening, whilst I was on my way back, I got a phone call. The chap asked me a few questions and claimed that I was eligible for migration to Canada. However, he then requested my initial six digits of my credit card number. I suggested he ring me back in an hour as I was behind the wheel. Once I arrived home, I wasted no time in Googling his number. When he rang again, I confronted him, revealing that my search had labelled his number a scam. I firmly asked him not to call me again, to which he simply replied, "Alright!"

I've been receiving calls from a supposed representative of AustraliaGSM, insisting that I pay a legal processing fee of £180 in order to pursue my interest in migrating to Australia. It all started after I completed a form that I thought was legitimate, where I provided my phone number. They've also followed up with an email that appears to be from:
