Just got a weird call from some robot American lady saying my IP was hacked or something and telling me to follow some steps. Luckily I hung up before it turned into a scam. Strange new tactic!

Someone rang pretending to be from BT, our internet company. When I said I'd just call BT myself to check, they tried to give me a number to ring. I told them I already had it, then they just got annoyed and hung up on me.

Got an automated call claiming it was BT about changing my IP address. The voice was so robotic, didn’t even notice I was actually chatting to my answerphone! Total scam, definitely dodgy.

Got a call supposedly from BT, said my internet was gonna get cut off today. The person had a North American accent, so I figured it was just a scam right away.
