Money is what they’re after and they’re not shy about it. Imran Kurwale is like the top dog in this whole scam, while Manish Damania plays the part of the mentor, showing all the little con artists exactly how to play the game and sing their “Begging Tune.” It’s like they run a whole school for scammers!

I’ve been getting loads of calls from this number “888-345-8767” claiming someone was trying to break into my computer. They’d rung me before, and silly me, I actually believed the story. Then they said I needed to pay about £300 for a year’s service, and I felt uneasy putting in my credit card details. After that, they even asked for my bank account info, which I stupidly gave them! Since then, they keep ringing to tell me I’ve paid for them to watch over my computer and that they’re just doing their job. Luckily, I’ve kept an eye on my bank and nothing has been taken. Every time they said I’d already paid, I didn’t bother arguing. I’ve finally blocked their number now, hoping that stops all the annoying calls.

Watch out, this is a total scam! Never ever share your personal details or let them control your computer remotely! Keep your info safe!

A bloke called James Walton rang me the other day, speaking with what I thought was an Indian accent. He claimed my PC was getting harmful files and insisted I let him help by accessing my computer. I told him my computer wasn’t even switched on, but he kept pushing. These calls pop up every few months. A while back, I rang Microsoft and they told me they never contact customers like that. It’s definitely a scam - watch out!

On 10th April 2017, I got a call from a guy called Khris - he actually took the time to spell it out for me. He spoke with a clear Indian accent and was really courteous. He told me my computer was close to breaking down, like just a few percent away. He also mentioned seeing error messages, much like what others have commented about. He wanted me to switch on my laptop so he could run a free diagnostic check. As I wasn’t home at the moment, I asked for his number so I could ring back later. The number he gave me was 888-345-8767. My phone showed the incoming call coming from 785-523-4397 under the name Ronald Corbett, which I noticed right when the call came through.

Tonight, my elderly mum got a phone call from a company called Papa Direct. The person on the line said he was a tech support guy from Microsoft and spoke with an Indian accent. He told her that her computer was sending out error alerts to his company and was in danger from hackers and viruses. He sounded really polite and patient, especially since mum is just getting the hang of using a computer. He almost got her to give him remote access so he could supposedly fix and secure her machine. Luckily, I stepped in just before she clicked ‘allow’. I asked for his details - he said his name was Patrick Clark, gave this number: (888) 345-8767, and mentioned their website Papadirect.com. When I checked online, it turned out to be a total scam. Please be careful and let your loved ones know about this!

I’ve been attempting to get my contract with Papa Direct cancelled, but they keep blaming my internet connection and saying it needs an upgrade. Honestly, what a load of rubbish. First, they told me the billing department was tied up, then suddenly they said hold on while they checked with billing. Such a waste of time!

This number is a total scam. Some bloke kept ringing me from an unknown number, saying my computer was sending out error alerts. I told him my computer was fine and he claimed it was a software problem. I said I didn’t trust him at all, but he insisted the company was genuine and said he’d give me their name, a callback number, even a fax number. Then he asked me to open up my computer and promised to read out some numbers for me to type in. I did at first, but the call dropped straight away. He rang me back, and I asked for that callback number. He gave it to me, so I looked it up on Google, and that’s when I saw it was definitely a scam. I told him I knew what was going on, but he kept pushing, saying the company had a four-star rating and that I should look them up online. In the end, I just hung up.

Some bloke called himself Charles Cruz, said he was a senior technician, rang me up to tell me my PC was full of viruses. He claimed RHWY could sort everything out and make my computer run like new afterwards. But, of course, it wasn't free - they asked for $249.99 and wanted payment via Visa, Mastercard, or Discover card. When I told them I didn’t have any of those, they asked if I had a bank account. After I said no, if you’re clever, they push you to pop over to the nearest Walmart to grab a prepaid card for the same amount and then ring them back. It’s ridiculous how some people spend their time trying to scam honest folks.

This number 913-429-3593 keeps ringing me, claiming they’re a proper business, even after I’ve said I know it’s a con. Every time I pick up and hang up, I immediately call back only to get a message saying the line has some technical problems. Happens every single time I try to get them to quit bothering me. So annoying!

Beware of a scam involving Papa Direct. They pretend to be Microsoft tech support, telling you your computer is sending viruses to Microsoft. The caller seemed genuine, with an Indian accent and gave the name "Patrick Clark." The phone number was (888) 345-8767. Their website seemed legit too. Sadly, I let them access my computer and install some "virus removal" software that appeared to be from trusted security companies. Now I’m taking my PC in to get cleaned out. I don’t know what damage might have been done. Others have reported the same scam if you look up PapaDirect. Microsoft clearly states on their official site they’ll never call you out of the blue like this.

Today, some bloke rang me and wouldn't stop going on, like he thought I was daft or something. He wouldn’t tell me anything about his "super legit" business, which sounded a bit dodgy to me. He did know my name and my phone number, but couldn’t back up anything else. Pretty clear it was a scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with an eastern accent claiming my computer was sending out error messages to them. He said he could sort it out for me, but I wasn’t having any of it. I checked the number and told him to get lost. He kept pushing, saying my PC was infected and insisted he wasn’t some kind of hacker. I just told him I’d ring Dell and let their pros handle it.
