3 yearsI’ve had a few calls from this number, and just yesterday another call came through from a different number that I suspect is linked to the same scammer. They say they’re with Michael Harris law firm and hand out a case number along with a name and extension. Their pitch is about some outstanding debt, offering to reduce the amount you owe to the creditor. That immediately set off alarm bells for me because their whole tone was like “We don’t care how much you send, just get it over with so we stop bothering you.” They also mentioned working for Wells Fargo, which seemed dodgy since Wells Fargo is still dealing with investigations around dodgy lending and consumer scams.Michael HarrisWells FargoWF3 yearsI got a call claiming I was the go-to person for my grandad who’s been dead for like 4 years now. They said he missed a court date and this Michael Harris bloke gave me a case number, telling me to ring back. Straight away I knew something was fishy so I looked up the number. Turns out it’s a scam that’s ripped off loads of people for thousands. It’s horrible how they just find people by looking up numbers and family info online. I’m gonna sort that out and block myself from all this nonsense. It’s really disgusting. Honestly hope they get caught and end up behind bars for a long time for scamming innocent folks like that.Michael HarrisGoogle3 yearsGot a call from some company claiming to be from a legal office - proper annoying. They left me a voicemail saying something about court documents that supposedly got sent back 'cause of a wrong address. Told me to ring this number 866-344-0194 about some case 301-2567 CV. Felt like a total scam trying to scare me. Pretty sure it’s nothing legit, just unwanted hassle. Really hope they stop bothering me with these fake legal threats!TracyOffice of Hudson County Processing Services3 yearsBlimey, these folks are clever. I got a ring from my ex, whom I've barely spoken to in over 30 years since our divorce. He mentioned a solicitor's office had contacted him, asking about me regarding some civil case, even gave him a case reference and the lawyer’s contact details to pass on. What was weird is that he’s living in another county now and the number he rang from isn’t the one he had back when we were married. I had already got a message on my answerphone from the same number, so I guessed it must be some kind of con. Honestly, just follow your gut on these things!3 yearsI really think it should be mandatory for states to actually deliver jury summons in person. Too often people never even know they’ve been called because it gets lost in the post or ignored. Serving them properly would stop a lot of mix-ups and people missing jury duty without realising.3 yearsThe person claimed to be a lawyer but didn’t have the right address to mail the court documents to me.3 yearsGot a call from some dodgy lot claiming they were after my partner. The woman on the line said her name was Victoria and she was some kind of processor for our area. She told me they'd tried to deliver papers to him at our house but hadn’t managed it, so the papers got sent back. She even gave a case number and said we should get in touch with a lawyer called Michael Harris for more details about some civil case. Thing is, we’ve checked our security cameras and not a soul showed up here. These scammers are just pretending to work for lawyers, hoping to con people out of money. It’s honestly sick how low some folks will stoop.VictoriaMichael Harris3 yearsMy mate just got ripped off for four thousand quid by these clowns. Proper rubbish, that.3 yearsI got a call from this exact number with some kind of reference info. When I rang them back and gave the reference number, they said they handle cases for loads of lawyers and asked for my phone number so they could find me. I said I’d investigate it more, then ended the call. Afterwards, I stumbled upon this website.3 yearsSomebody rang me up this morning asking for my husband and said we lived at a different address. Then she claimed she was going to send court documents because apparently we owe more than £7,000. What a pain!3 yearsGot a voicemail just like that, mentioning the same lawyer’s name and a case number. They claimed they’d sent some documents, but apparently they got returned. All this about my mother who died nearly ten years ago. Honestly, these folks are just disgusting!3 yearsSo, this number just rang me up saying they tried to deliver something at my place but no one was home. The woman said her name was Victoria and mentioned a case number, also said an attorney called Michael Harris was involved. I had a look at my home security footage and there wasn’t a single soul at the door, it would’ve been caught on camera. Definitely a load of rubbish from a scammer pretending to be law enforcement. That so-called lawyer probably doesn’t even exist. Watch out, sounds like a dodgy scam trying to frighten folks into paying up.VictoriaMichael Harris3 yearsThey're trying to con money off me and now they've begun ringing up my relatives as well.3 yearsGot a call the other day where someone was after my husband. I didn’t say he was here, just told them to have him ring back about some civil issue and mention Michael Harris. They even gave a case number that doesn’t line up with any civil case numbers in our county. I asked the bloke who was calling and he said his name was either Doug Reed or Reid. Pretty sure it was a SCAM!Michael HarrisDoug ReedReid3 yearsToday I got a call from a strange number and they left a voicemail. The person said something like, "Hello, this is Charlie Adams from the process service office. We're supposed to deliver some legal papers for you to appear in court but the documents were returned because the address we have is incorrect. To sort this out and resend the papers, please contact your lawyer Michael Harris at 866-344-0194. Also, refer to this reference number ____." This call was definitely a scam, not genuine at all.
