There’s this bloke who’s sending a woman around different neighbourhoods in the US, targeting newly arrived refugees who seem vulnerable. She tells them they can get Green Cards for their struggling friends abroad, but only if they hand over their email addresses and phone numbers. My mate from Sri Lanka, now living in Malaysia, got a call from this guy in the middle of the night. He said he was from the US embassy and bombarded her with questions, trying to prove she had little education. Afterwards, he demanded money to kick off the Green Card application. My friend reckoned he sounded pretty legit and even gave her a confirmation number. When I checked the official US Green Card site, that number didn’t show up anywhere. This guy’s clearly scamming people, probably making a quick buck off poor folks who can’t afford to be fooled. Watch out and don’t fall for it.

I just got a call from these lot, and they wanted my card info. I refused to give anything and they sounded proper pushy, like all stressed out. Now they say they'll ring again tomorrow to get the details. Absolutely spam, no doubt about it. They’re total con artists. Plus, their voice didn’t even sound American or anything like it. Proper dodgy bunch. Bloody annoying!

I was charged 107 euros on my credit card after a man named Keen called me three times from an unknown number. He started asking loads of questions, which I answered, but something felt off. His accent wasn’t American, even though he claimed to be calling from the main office in Texas. Things got dodgy when he asked about my salary in local currency instead of dollars, then said I had to pay roughly 1500 US dollars on my card. I told him I wasn’t interested in going ahead because it was way too expensive. He then got flustered, raised his voice, and insisted it was legal fees he could charge to my card. I told him he had no right to take anything from my card since it’s PIN protected. That’s when he just hung up. I immediately called my bank to report what happened, and they blocked my card. The 107 euros charge is currently on hold, and I’ll need to visit my bank to try and get that money back. This was definitely a scam, so please watch out!

On 23rd February, I got a phone call and spoke to a woman named Amy, who sounded like a native English speaker from something to do with a US green card. She also emailed me a link to what looked like an official website but included the phone number +18662434612. Strangely, the call actually came from Germany, from the number +49301999922869. It was quite unnerving because she seemed to know the details of my application and kept pushing me to pay $1500. Definitely a highly coordinated scam!

For the past year ive been getting emails from this address ([email protected]) all about some green card visa offers. Today, 20th Feb 2016, I got a call from a woman who asked loads of personal details and said I'd have a good chance of getting the green card. Then they even wanted my credit card info, which seemed really fishy to me.

This bloke shared loads of details which made it sound genuine at first, but then he kept asking for my card info several times. When I said I didn’t have my card handy, he suddenly ended the call. Honestly, if you’re looking to apply for a green card, it’s way safer to just go through the embassy instead.

this number is linked to [USAGC ORGANIZATION]. they claim to be a helpful private firm that can help you apply for the green card lottery if you pay certain fees... but dont fall for it! ITS A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!
