I just received a call from this number regarding car insurance from 2016. Interestingly enough, I don't own a vehicle or have any insurance, yet they kept going on about potential savings and recent changes in the car insurance laws. It’s quite likely it's a scam; the whole thing felt like a recorded message from a bot impersonating a human. Definitely something I'd steer clear of!

I can relate to your situation. The number 845-249-2462 has been ringing me at odd hours: a few times on June 8th at 15:50, then again on May 27th at 13:53, and once more on May 18th at 15:32, among others that have slipped from my memory. I've also received calls from 515-779-1914, 845-406-4014, and some from "Restricted," but funnily enough, no voicemails ever seem to follow. I never pick up for numbers I don't recognise, so I'm a bit in the dark about the motives behind these calls. What options do we have to tackle this annoyance? Is there a way to block those numbers without having a fancy smartphone? I've started to ponder if there's a link to online activity too. Quite suspicious, if you ask me-I've even run into four malware alerts just from searching for this info.

I received a call from this number earlier today. The person on the line said they were representing the National Insurance Foundation or something to that effect. I have no clue who they really are. Seems a bit dodgy to me; I'm starting to suspect it might be a scam!
