Received a call purporting to be from Bank of America - it’s definitely a scam!

I just got a message that said, "Important update from Fifth Third Bank. Please call us on 845 241 7877." Considering I had just swiped my credit card, it piqued my interest, and I thought it could be genuine. When I rang them up, they asked for my Social Security number, which set off all sorts of alarm bells! Naturally, I didn’t want to give them any real info, so I fed them a bogus number. I kept waiting for a live person to pick up, but after a bit, they just disconnected me. All automated voices - not a single human about. Definitely a scam!

I received a message stating "Important account alert - Fifth Third Bank, please phone us at..." followed by a number. Not a chance I’m falling for that trick!

I initially assumed it was regarding my EBT card, so I went ahead and input my social security number and card details. To my dismay, the system indicated they were incorrect. Just the day prior, I had forked out 300 quid at Sam's Club, and I was convinced it had something to do with that.

I received a message too, mentioning an account alert from the First National Bank of Omaha, and they urged me to give them a bell at 8452417877. I decided to ring up First National myself, and they informed me that they've received a barrage of similar calls throughout the day and they don’t disclose any details regarding it. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

This is clearly a phishing attempt; they're attempting to obtain your social security number and details about your debit card. I've made sure to report them to [email protected]. Stay vigilant, everyone!

I just got a message saying "Account message from SUNTRUST. Give us a bell at 8452417877" and I absolutely have no plans to ring that number. I'll be getting rid of it shortly.

I got a rather odd text that read: "Accountmessage/fromSUNTRUST. Please call us at -> 8452417877." I chose not to reply and promptly removed it from my phone. It just doesn't seem right for SunTrust to reach out in that manner.

I've just had a similar experience. I'm planning to report it to Suntrust as it doesn't appear to be on the up and up.

I shared my social security number, but didn’t provide any details about my debit card. Is this going to put my account at risk?
