Got a text saying: "Important update/Fifth Third Bank. Call 845-241-7877". I’d just used my credit card so it seemed legit at first. I phoned and it asked for my SS number, which made me suspicious straight away. I typed in a bogus number. Tried waiting to speak to someone but after a while, it just disconnected on me. All automated voice, no real person. Total scam!!

I got a text saying something about an account notice from First National Bank of Omaha and telling me to call 8452417877. I rang up First National straight away and they told me loads of people have been getting the same calls yesterday. They advised not to share any details.
