I got a call from someone named Lisa claiming she’s with some “financial hardship” team. She said it’s Wednesday and she wanted to check if I needed help with credit card stuff or personal loans. According to her, I was approved for £4,800 which sounded a bit dodgy. She mentioned the offer’s only open to a few people and if I had 5 mins, I should ring her back to get more info. She gave a number - 844-959-7904 - and said anyone would help if she’s busy. She added she’d be available till 7 pm. Definitely sounded scammy to me.

These scammers seriously need to stop, I get about 7 or 8 calls and voicemails from them every single day and it’s been going on for weeks now. I keep telling them to take me off their list but they just don’t listen, so I end up blocking and deleting the calls. They just won’t quit! One time this woman called Lisa actually left a personal voicemail instead of the usual automated nonsense, and it really pissed me off. I ended up shouting at the phone, telling her to take me off their damn calling list. These idiots keep ringing or leaving messages seven or eight times a day, and I’ve been asking them for over a month now to stop. This is harassment, plain and simple, and it’s illegal too. You’re only allowed to call twice in a 24 hour period by law! I even warned her I’d report them to the police. I’ve never seen anything this bad before, these scammers are totally out of hand nowadays. It was never this bad before!

I never pick up these calls, I just check the voicemails that get transcribed to text. They all sound pretty much the same. Most days, I get between one and three calls, and once I had three ringing at the exact same time. Each call comes from a different number, but they all ask me to ring back the same phone number. Something like, "Hello, this is Lisa from the financial hardship team. It’s Friday, and I’m just following up. We might be able to help you with credit card debts or personal loans. I managed to get you approved for £48,000. Keep in mind that there’s only a limited number of spots in this programme. If you can spare five minutes today, please call me back so we can discuss the details. The number’s 0844 959 7904, and there’s always someone available if I’m busy. I’ll be here until seven." It’s pretty clear it’s just a scripted sales pitch.

I keep getting calls about some debt free scheme, and when I asked the bloke where he was ringing from, he said Florida. Bit odd if you ask me!

I got a voicemail from the number 743-208-0278 telling me to ring back on 844-959-7904. I tried both, but neither seemed to be working, can you believe it? They claimed they were calling from the Financial Hardship Department.

TOTAL SCAM ALERT! These jokers use some trick to skip the ringing entirely and land right in your voicemail. The numbers are always different or show as private, no caller ID whatsover. It barely rings, maybe once, then straight to a voicemail message. The message is always from "Lisa", saying my loan for forty grand has been approved, which I never asked for or applied to. They ring me atleast daily and it’s proper frustrating. Worst thing is, you can’t even reject the call properly because their tech dodges the normal ringing process and hits voicemail straight away. So annoying!

For more than eighteen months now I've been getting calls every few months from different numbers. The message never changes though - they always say I've been pre-approved for up to $48,000. Considering how long this scam has been going on, you'd expect the authorities to have put a stop to it by now. Seems like they're too tied up dealing with small-time offences to bother with this kind of fake stuff.

I get calls from this number all the time, sometimes several times a day, and they always leave a voicemail. I've got call blocking set up on my phone but somehow these calls still manage to come through. I even rang them back using a different phone and told them to stop contacting me or I'd report them for harassment. Despite that, the calls just keep on coming. It’s really annoying!

She mentioned the offer has limited spots, so if I had five minutes, I should call back at 844-959-7904 to discuss more. She also said if she was busy, anyone else at that number could assist, and that she’d be available till 7pm today. Sounds dodgy to me.

Got a voicemail today from someone pretending to offer a loan, sounded like a total scam to me. Definitely not calling that number back!
