I received a voicemail on my mobile claiming they were seeking my brother and demanded he be present from noon to three tomorrow to receive some documents via courier. They warned that not providing two forms of identification and a witness would escalate matters legally. I rang them back at this number, letting them know I was calling from Creekside Recovery. I made it clear that this is a business environment and we don't engage with debt collectors or their tactics, urging them to refrain from contacting us again. I also mentioned my intention to lodge a complaint with the FTC and report them to the police for their attempts at identity theft. If they truly are a collection agency, wouldn’t you think they’d be more focused on collecting debts rather than insisting on ID verification and a witness? This is absolutely a scam!
