I received a call from this telephone number informing me that I have an outstanding debt of £2800 due to fraudulent activities over the past few years. The caller mentioned that they were unable to send any written documentation through the mail and everything would be handled solely over the phone.

I received the same voicemail as others so far. When I dialed back from a different number, the person requested my name and heard me typing, then questioned if I was browsing the internet before abruptly ending the call. I made a few more attempts to reach them, and eventually someone picked up but provided a different name. When I inquired about which number I had called, they hastily terminated the call once again. Clearly, this is a scam.

A certain individual claiming to be from the CRA contacted us, but when my husband called him back, the person responded rudely by telling my husband to go away and abruptly ended the call. It is evident that this is a 100% fraudulent activity.

Hello, the CRA will send you letters when they are conducting an investigation. I had a similar experience where I received a letter and only understood phrases such as CRA, time sensitive, call back, attorney, and legal situation. In my opinion, it would be wise to disregard this person. The number that appeared on my phone indicated that it originated from the United States.

I received a phone call from a certain number informing me that I needed to call them back right away as it was an urgent matter. Upon returning the call, the person on the other end insisted that they were representing the CRA and were pursuing legal actions against me. It is evident that this was a blatant scam. Dealing with such a situation caused a great deal of stress and anxiety in my life. I truly hope that this malicious individual is apprehended.

Goodness gracious! I was utterly taken aback! That chap has an incredibly thick accent, and I can barely comprehend what he's saying, except for the bit about me needing to call back or facing dire consequences. I obliged and dialed the number, only to hear the call go straight to voicemail. Oh, thank goodness I stumbled upon this webpage! Now I am positively certain that it's a fraudulent scheme.

I have received three phone calls today, with the caller requesting me or my lawyer to return their call. However, due to the strong accent of the individual, I am unable to comprehend the message clearly. This is certainly not an ideal time for such calls. After reading the comments provided, I have decided to block this particular number from contacting me again.

I received a call from this unknown number, and the person left a message claiming to be from the CRA. The caller warned me about possible legal consequences if I failed to return the call promptly. However, he spoke in such a way that made it difficult for me to comprehend what he was saying. Intrigued, I decided to check the number on the official CRA website, only to find out that it was not listed as one of their official contact numbers. As a result, I have no plans whatsoever to call back and engage with this individual.

I received a phone call from someone who had also been calling several people I know, so I decided to return the call. I asked for their employee number and informed them that I was from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) investigating a case of fraud and misinterpretation. However, the person abruptly ended the call. Despite the situation being a big-time scam that has been going on for at least three months, I found amusement in the whole encounter.

On August 8, 2016, at 10:40am, a gentleman left a message on my phone claiming to be from the Tax Crime Investigation Department of the CRA. However, I am confident that this is a fraudulent scheme for two reasons. Firstly, he used an unusual phrasing by saying 'the second you receive this call you have to call me back', which is not typically employed by the genuine CRA. Secondly, his choice of words does not align with the language commonly used by the CRA.
