I’ve just received a rather alarming message claiming my computer is compromised and that all my personal information is being pilfered. It insists that I need to ring their number to resolve the issue, otherwise they threaten to disable my device and alert the authorities regarding cybercrime.

This pesky thing keeps appearing on my screen and causes everything to freeze up!

Last night, my computer unexpectedly froze and I found myself unable to shut it down. To make matters worse, I received an automated voice call warning me not to power off my device before dialling 184469263 05, or I risked losing all my banking and credit card details. The voice was in French, which I don’t speak, leaving me utterly bewildered. In a moment of panic, I yanked the plug out and shut the system down anyway. I’ve since realised it was all just a scam, but now every time I start up my computer, the same troubling issue resurfaces. What a right nuisance!

It's the same old nonsense. I requested their Microsoft support number, and all they did was leave me on hold before cutting me off entirely.

I received a call from this number, and when I dialled back, it was just silence on the other end. Clearly, it's a dodgy operation-best steer clear and don’t get involved with anything they propose!
