So, on Friday I got a call where the person said they were from the IRS, claiming there was a fraud complaint against me and if I didn’t call back right away I’d be in trouble with jail time. I decided to ring up my lawyer just to check, and he said it’s definitely a scam because the IRS doesn’t contact anyone by phone like that. So be careful and please don’t call them back!

I've been getting these robocalls from some bloke with a really deep voice, saying my bank account's about to be frozen or something. Tried ringing back, but no one answered. Saw on the telly that these sorts of calls are scams, so I'm not falling for it or wasting my time.

I just received a robo call threatening to freeze all my accounts and slap a lean on my house and belongings. Nearly had a heart attack! Really grateful I found this website to check it out.

I got a call from someone saying I hadn’t paid my taxes and that I owed £5850.00. I told them I don’t owe any money at all. They threatened that I’d lose my house and could be arrested. I’ve already reported it to the cops. Definitely a scam. The bloke said his name was Brian Walker with the number 913186.

Someone named Donald Lloyd, ID 61592, rang me saying he was from the CRA. It was obvious a scam! He tried asking a few questions but quickly ended the call once he realised we weren’t giving him anything. Total waste of time.

Is there any way to put an end to this? Lately, these fools keep pestering me, even ringing my phone and leaving messages on my answerphone. Do you know if they're based in Canada? Because if they are, maybe we can take some action. If they're somewhere else, all we can do is annoy their call centres, though I reckon they’re probably used to that by now.

In just the last day ive had three calls all saying something about my bank account getting frozen and supposedly from the CRA, which is obviously a joke.

Some bloke called himself Ben Johnson and said he was from the Canada Revenue Agency. I'm pretty sure the actual Ben Johnson would not be best pleased about that! He asked me for my credit or debit card details, saying I owed $3200. I had a laugh with him, messing him about until he couldn’t come up with any more rubbish. Once he twigged I'd seen through the con, he just hung up.

Got a robocall pretending to be from the CRA saying my assets were gonna be taken and my bank accounts locked. They warned me a collections agent would be coming by soon. The automated message gave me a number or said to press 1 to talk to someone, or 9 to hang up. I just ended the call straight away. They’ve called me two times today already. Feels like they’re just trying to scare folks into giving info or making a payment.

I got a call from this number telling me they were from some collection company and that they'd taken over my account. They said they were with the Canadian Revenue Agency or something like that. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I got called by that number about five times today. When I picked up at last, they said I had some legal trouble with the CRA. They told me to stick on the line and press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone. They also told me to ring them back if I had any questions. So, I pressed 1, but all I could hear was a bunch of noise and people chatting in the background. No one actually answered me. Then, the call just got dropped. I’ve tried ringing the same number again since then, but it just disconnects straight away every time.

I got a call from this number where a voice told me there was some tax problem linked to CRA. They said if I wanted to speak with someone, I should press one. When I did, it just ended with a goodbye message. Sounds fishy to me. I reckon this might be a scam. I’m planning to report it to the RCMP and also let the Canadian government know about it.
