Naturally, we sought advice from our solicitor, who quickly dismissed it as a ruse, emphasising that the IRS would never make contact via phone in such a manner. Be cautious, folks, and don't fall for this trap!

I received a rather alarming call from someone who insisted that I was in arrears with my tax payments to the tune of £5,850. Quite ridiculous, as I have settled everything! They went on to threaten that I could lose my home and be taken into custody. Naturally, I've reported this nonsense to the authorities. Clearly a scam. This bloke went by the name of Donald Lloyd, with an ID number of 61592. He asserted he was ringing directly from the CRA. It’s definitely a scam! He posed a few questions but quickly ended the call once he realised we weren’t biting. What a cheek!

What measures can be taken to put an end to this? I've been receiving relentless nuisance calls from these morons recently, and they even dared to leave a voicemail on my machine. Can anyone tell me where their number is registered? If it's in Canada, we might stand a chance of pursuing them legally, but if it's from elsewhere, we'll sadly just be ruffling the feathers of their service providers, who are probably quite accustomed to all this by now.

I received a rather dodgy call from someone purporting to be from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The chap introduced himself as Ben Johnson, but I reckon the genuine Ben would not be impressed. This bloke was after my debit or credit card details, claiming I owed £3200. I played along for a bit, but once he ran out of nonsense to tell me, it dawned on him that he was ensnared in his own little con, and he promptly terminated the call.

Upon pressing 1, I heard a cacophony of voices in the background, but no one actually addressed me. Suddenly, the call was disconnected. I’ve attempted to return the call, but each time it gets cut off right away.
