They claimed I'm my mum's legal rep and her carer, insisting I'll make sure she turns up for court if required. I flat out said no, I’m not, and wouldn’t do that. Then they said she needs to ring back and get me taken off, or else I’d get dragged into some legal stuff. They were pretty rude too, asking why on earth my mum would say I’m her carer!

Honestly, these phone scammers should find themselves an honest livelihood. I'm fed up with constantly getting these irritating calls.

So today I got a call from someone claiming to be a process server trying to confirm my address. When I asked what it was about, she gave me a number, 8446503720, to contact a lawyer. She said they would try to serve me between 1 and 3 pm. I told her I had no idea about any court case or summons.
I rang the "lawyer" number, and they said it was about a family member who needs to call them back so they can remove me from their contact list. But as far as I know, there’s no legal case involving that family member at all.
I’m really annoyed by this and after searching the number I found this site saying it’s a scam.
Does anyone know how we can put a stop to this?

I got a call where they had my full name and address and claimed they were submitting legal papers to some clerk's office. They kept saying I needed to deal with it right away. If I didn’t ring them back, they warned they’d take my address as “confirmed” or something like that - not really sure what that’s supposed to mean. They also mentioned taking more steps, but never said exactly what those steps would be. Bit frustrating, to be honest.

Got a voicemail about some NY docket number and something about the clerk’s office. Not sure what that was about.

So I got a call from someone saying they were from RC Litigation - like the Richard Carlson Litigation Firm or something. They talked about a clerk’s office and a court summons, which freaked me out a bit. They even had my name, phone, address, and the last four digits of my social. I looked them up online and everything pointed to it being a scam. Definitely felt dodgy!
