I keep getting alerts on my laptop from this number saying my computer is infected with a virus that'll start damaging it in an hour unless I ring them to sort it out. This has happened twice now. The first time I actually believed it and rang the number, and they managed to hack into my laptop, even turned on the camera and did all sorts of stuff. I’m not sure how to get these warnings to stop, but seriously, do not call this number - it’s definitely a scam!

This number belongs to some dodgy tech support scammers from India. They call up pretending your computer is full of viruses, and use stuff like the Event Viewer to show errors (which is just normal system stuff, honestly). Then they try to charge you loads without actually fixing anything or properly checking your machine. Proper con job if you ask me.
