So, I got a call like this, and my mates and family got it too. They used a few different 800 numbers but the message was always the same. It's definitely a scam - don’t give out any personal details, all they got is stuff you can easily find online. Just end the call straight away. The RCMP Fraud unit is looking into it, so if you can, report the 800 number to them. Don’t worry, that’s not how Canada Revenue does things.

Le jeudi 14 juillet 2016, j'ai eu deux textos de ce numéro : 1-844-551-0583. Ils me pressaient de rappeler rapidement sous peine de démarches juridiques. J’ai aussitôt fait une réclamation auprès du C.R.T.C., et on m’a dit qu’ils étaient déjà en train d’enquêter sur ce numéro. Apparemment, c’est une escroquerie. Ne rappelez surtout pas et contactez plutôt le C.R.T.C. au 1-866-580-3625 pour signaler ça.

I've got calls from someone threatening action over a supposed tax audit if I don't ring them back. It's really annoying and they've bothered me three times just today. Does anyone know where I should report this kind of harassment?

He said his name was Jeff Morgan, but I don’t buy it. Feels like a total fib, maybe he’s from some place in Africa.
