Absolutely dodgy! I received a call demanding a payment of £25,000, which is just outrageous. They instructed me to ring a toll-free number, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how they even got my details in the first place. When I finally called the number, a woman named Allison picked up and barely let me get a word in before she abruptly wished me well and hung up on me. Quite the shifty operation, if you ask me!

This number is clearly a scammer's callback. When I answered, the operator simply referred to herself as being from the "Gift claim department," without any mention of her actual company. She inquired about my name after I explained that I was returning their call. I gave her just my first name and pressed her for the name of the company she represented, but all I got was a rehearsed spiel that mirrored the voicemail I’d received earlier. When I persisted, asking which company was behind the supposed gift, she abruptly hung up. It couldn’t be more apparent that this is a dodgy operation. By the way, the caller ID indicates it's from Sheridan, IL, with the number 1-815-496-0605.
