I just found out that this number showed info from like 10 years ago about an account I closed with Telus ages back, like 5 years or so. They weren’t even able to send a bill or anything. Honestly, this number and whoever’s behind it feels like a total scam to me.

I’d say don’t pick up if you spot an unknown number calling. A quick google search usually tells you who it is. If it turns out to be a debt collection place, give their number a special ringtone so next time you’ll know it’s CBV collections and just ignore it. You might want to get some call blocking apps too; some of them stop the ringing altogether. These callers often use different numbers, so you’ll have to repeat this a few times. Save all those numbers in your contacts and label them something like “debt call” or whatever, so you’re always warned. Honestly, call blocking apps do a great job. Remember, the statute of limitations here is only 2 years, so don’t fall for paying if it’s past that!

About ten minutes ago, this number rang me up. They asked if I was the person they wanted and said there was an urgent issue to talk about. Then they put me on hold. After a while, the guy came back on, asked if I was still waiting, then just stayed quiet. While I was still on hold, another call from the same number came through. That’s when I figured it was a dodgy call, so I blocked the number straight away.

I reported those annoying lot ages ago. They keep ringing but I’ve blocked them now, so it just goes straight to voicemail. Honestly, they should just get proper jobs instead of wasting everyone’s time. Proper pain in the arse, seriously.

I've gotten loads of calls from this same number, always asking for someone I’ve never heard of. The bloke who rang me yesterday said he’d take my number off their list and stop calling, but I’ve still had about five calls from them plus another one from "FDR" today. Proper annoying! Arrrgh!

At around 7:30 in the evening, I got a call from a lady who spoke with quite a strong Indian accent. She asked if my brother was available to talk. I offered to leave a message instead, and after a brief silence, she agreed. The only info she gave was a phone number and mentioned it was regarding some "important business matter." When I asked her which company she represented, she just said CBV.
