In my attempt to clarify that he’d dialed the wrong number, I ended up with a recorded message stating I had reached a restricted line for Anthem, followed by an abrupt busy tone. Curiously, my caller ID displayed a slightly different number, 844-369-0788. When I rang that one, I was greeted by what sounded like a financial establishment - the representative was quite hard to decipher! When I inquired about a Mike Wallace working there, she confirmed his employment. However, upon explaining my unfamiliarity with the individual they were searching for, she assured me she’d remove my number from their records.
