I received a rather alarming phone call claiming to be about my taxes. They mentioned that some correspondence was returned and that there's a warrant out for my arrest. Quite concerning, to say the least!

Received a call similar to what others have mentioned here. Funny enough, I got a similar one about two months back from a different number!

When I returned the call, the individual on the other end insisted he was a police officer, yet he was unable to provide the person's first name he was supposedly inquiring about-only their surname. To add to the oddity, he seemed quite agitated during our conversation, exclaiming things like "oh my goodness," which struck me as rather unprofessional for someone in that position.

Received a call this morning that raised my suspicions, so I promptly got in touch with the fraud team and the police. They put my mind at ease by confirming there was no warrant for my arrest and that they were looking into the matter. I decided to ring the number back and let the individual who claimed to be from Revenue Canada know I’d reported them. As soon as I mentioned the police, they swiftly disconnected the line and blocked me. What a cowardly move!

A total scam, if you ask me! It’s quite alarming to see how they target our elderly and those who are more susceptible. They ought to be stopped and face serious consequences for their deceitful actions.

I've received calls with identical messages-sounds like a right worry! Just had two of them come through, one from a 902 number to boot. Feels like I’m in a bit of a pickle.

I've been inundated with texts from this number, claiming to have a warrant for my arrest due to tax evasion and that they can seize unpaid taxes by force. Curiously, I decided to ring them up using the number they provided. A chap picked up, identifying himself as part of the Canada Revenue Agency's Criminal Investigation Division. However, he faltered when it came to my name; while he had my address right, the first name was well off. When I pointed this out, he hastily said he must have dialled the wrong number and promptly hung up. Fast forward two days, and I've received yet another message urging me or my solicitor to get in touch regarding the alleged tax evasion and some documents that apparently bounced back. Do check the CRA's official site, as it's clear they don't make threatening calls and wouldn’t contact you without written notice first about any debts owed.

I had a similar unsettling experience with a landline call, where they were alarming me with threats of police action. It’s rather distressing, isn't it? I can't help but worry especially for the older folk who might fall prey to such a scheme.

I received a phone call featuring a pre-recorded message claiming to be from the tax office, alleging that there was a warrant out for "her" due to tax evasion. Interestingly enough, this was directed to a business line, and they didn’t mention anyone's name at all during the conversation.

Earlier today, I was met with a rather alarming recorded message claiming that an arrest warrant has been issued against me for tax evasion. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

I received a phone call purporting to be from the CRA, claiming that the police are on their way to apprehend me for allegedly avoiding taxes.

Received a call from the same number. The person claimed their correspondence was returned to them and even hinted at a possible bench warrant. Quite unsettling!

Today, I received a voicemail saying that there’s a warrant out for my arrest related to tax evasion. It’s rather alarming! My daughter had encountered something similar just a few weeks back.

Today, I picked up the phone only to be greeted by a pre-recorded message claiming that crucial tax documents sent to our address had been returned, and that there’s a warrant out for my arrest related to tax evasion. It urged me to reach out immediately or have our solicitor get in touch. Strangely, there were no details about any individuals affected, nor was a callback number given. The number on my caller ID matched this one.
