When I rang them back, the bloke who picked up said he was some kind of officer, but he wouldn’t tell me the first name, just the surname. He got really flustered while I asked him questions, even dropping “omg” a few times - definitely not what I expected from an official person.

Today I received a call and straight away contacted the police and fraud department. They told me they were looking into it and there wasn't any warrant for me. So I rang back the same number pretending to be from Revenue Canada and said I’d contacted the authorities. The person who picked up cut the call quick and blocked me. What a joke.

Just got another call telling me I'll be arrested, same message both times. One came from a 902 number, and the other was from somewhere different. Really annoying.

I keep getting calls from this number saying there’s a warrant out for my arrest over tax evasion and that they’ll forcibly collect unpaid taxes. So last week, I rang them back on the number they left to find out what’s going on. A man answered claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency’s Criminal Investigation Division. Oddly enough, he didn’t know the correct first name that matched my surname, though he did have the correct address. When I told him the initial didn’t match, he quickly said I must have the wrong number and hung up. A couple of days later, I got another message asking us or our lawyer to call them about tax evasion stuff and some returned mail. Just so you know, if you check the official CRA site, you’ll see they never threaten people like this over the phone, and they always inform you in writing first if you owe anything.
