What a complete con! I got this voicemail stating that there was an official complaint lodged against me, and they were seeking some details to serve me the documents. I ended up just deleting it. What a palaver!

Cheers for that! I received a similar call myself, but the caller used a name I ditched nearly eight years back. They also had my date of birth, which understandably made me uneasy, but I flat-out refused to confirm anything. I told them straight that I knew they were up to no good and then ended the call. So relieved to find out I was spot on! It's quite unsettling that they have access to my DOB, but at least they got the name all wrong!

I've received three calls over the past three years from someone claiming that I owe money to US Cellular. The first time, I unfortunately believed it and ended up sending them some cash. The second caller I encountered was told that I had already settled the bill, and I was assured it would be sorted. Now, a year has passed, and I'm getting yet another call from this number. This time, I’m calling it out as nonsense. The chap on the other end got a bit huffy and insisted I send in the documents I possess. Well, I'm not going to do that because I am confident I don’t owe US Cellular a penny!

I had a rather dodgy call today from someone purporting to be Chad Wilson. He claimed it was regarding an outstanding bill dating back to 2003 with Century Link/Embarq. He was quite the chatterbox, and I decided to put him on speaker so my husband could listen in. The bloke mentioned that I could dispute this debt but warned me it would end up costing me a pretty penny in the hundreds. He was incredibly pushy about collecting the money. I told him to ring me back in about an hour while I quickly contacted Century Link myself. However, he called back not once, but twice, leaving two voicemails stating that if I didn't respond by this morning, he'd forward my details to his processing team. It’s clearly a scam, and I regret ever taking that call. What steps can I take to put an end to this relentless harassment?

I've received a rather relentless call from a bloke named Chad Wilson, who says he's with TDS Management, insisting they’re a legal firm pursuing an ancient debt. He just won't take no for an answer! Curiously, when I investigated further, I noticed that the phone number he used was just one digit off from the legitimate TDS Management contact I discovered online. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

As someone currently honing my skills in cyber security, I've taken the liberty to trace this phone number, along with several others tied to it. They all seem to trace back to Staten Island, New York. If you happen to pick up a call from this number, particularly if they identify themselves as being from Unified Processing Services, or if they go by the names Kevin Johnson or Jensen - or even Tyson - steer well clear! It's a blatant scam, as far as I'm concerned. They're just out to deceive and fleece unsuspecting individuals of their hard-earned cash.

I receive a call from this number roughly every seven days. After a while, I decided to return the call and made it clear that they should cease their attempts to reach me, warning them that I'd have to escalate the matter to the FCC if they persisted. Just to clarify, I've never shared any of my details with them.

This rings a bell, as it closely resembles a dodgy scam call I encountered not too long ago.
