Somebody rang my mobile, but I just ended the call straight away. So I decided to ring them back, and the person who answered asked me for my number (which came up as private on their end). Then they tried to sell me a landline, but I told them I didn’t need another phone since I already have one.

I got a call that just rang and then stopped, so I phoned back. A recorded message from Shaw started playing, then it put me through to their customer service. While I was talking to them, I got another call and the person repeated my number. They asked if I was someone called Kyle, but I had to say no. After realising they’d got the wrong person, they said sorry for the mix-up and didn’t press any further. So, it wasn’t really annoying or pushy, and they were polite about the whole thing.

He actually asked me whether I was with MTS or Shaw, which was odd because if he was truly from Shaw, wouldn't he have already seen my provider info from the number he supposedly had on his system?

Got a call from someone saying they were from Shaw, asking for someone who doesn't even live at my address. They tried to say numbers get recycled or something. I told them I’ve been with Shaw for years and if they checked properly they'd find my name linked to this number. Didn’t give them any details and just pushed back, called them out on pretending to be from Shaw.

The caller sounded like they were pretending to know me, but I couldn’t really catch what they were saying because my baby was making noise right next to me.
