They had the wrong Social Security number, a middle initial that isn’t mine, and an address that’s hundreds of miles away. I’m holding onto the letter and planning to chat with a lawyer when I get a chance. Honestly, how do these companies stay in business? They told her there’s a civil lawsuit against her and tried to fish out her birthday and other personal details, pretending to be from Kaplan and Associates.
