It appears that a debt collector representing US Bank is on a wild goose chase for someone who shares my first and last name and allegedly has some student loan debt. The twist? I've never taken out a student loan in my life! To add insult to injury, they even sent a letter to my workplace, presumably attempting to garnish my commissions. What’s absolutely baffling is that they cited an incorrect Social Security number, a completely wrong home address situated 800 miles away, and even mixed up my middle initial. I've decided to keep a copy of the letter for my records and plan to consult a solicitor when I find a spare moment. They informed her about an alleged civil suit involving her and attempted to extract her birthday and other personal details. They claimed to be representing Kaplan and Associates.
