I've had these lot ringing my work about three times today, leaving messages about some payday loan I supposedly owe. The thing is, I've never even taken out a loan! It's shocking how far some folks will go trying to squeeze money out of others. When I looked up the number, the first result was "SCAMMERS." Honestly, I'm fed up with all this nonsense.

I just had a ring from this 201-292-8384 New Jersey number. They told me to ring back using a number and gave a claim reference, said if it wasn’t me, I could just ignore it. How do I get them to stop calling me?

Got a call again from 844-226-8637 today, and they left a voicemail with some claim number, 3425691, but didn’t say who they were or what company they represent. Just a phone number and that claim number, nothing else. I’ve never taken out a payday loan like some folks mention here. All loans I ever had are fully settled and it shows on my credit report.

Both mine and my husband's mobiles have been ringing at least 4 times daily! I've just been letting it go to voicemail, and then I get some automated voice that only says my first name and a claim reference. This evening, I actually decided to pick up. It was a man with a foreign accent who asked why I was calling... I told him he was the one ringing me. He then gave me my full name and the last 4 digits of my social security number. Apparently, there are two cases accusing me of trying to commit bank fraud with a payday loan. I told him I never took out any payday loan, then he asked if I lived on .... Street. When I said no, he just hung up.

I tried talking to someone but they were so rude. Wouldn't tell me the company name or any real details. As soon as I said I wasn’t the person they wanted and asked to take my number off their list, they just cut me off right away. Proper annoying.

Got a call from this number asking about someone I don’t even know. I told them I wasn’t familiar with that person. They rang back later but I didn’t pick up. Looked up the number online and found out it’s apparently a scam.

Back in 2013, I never took out a loan, yet I keep getting calls on my mobile from these folks. They come across as quite pushy and not very polite at all.

I've been getting calls over and over on both my mobile and landline. They keep telling me I took out a payday loan and haven't paid it back, which is totally not true. They even said the loan apparently hasn't been touched since 2007 or 2008. I've told them flat out this is a scam and that I'm going to report them.

I’ve been getting nonstop calls from these lot on my mobile, landline and even at work, all about some loan I never took out. To make things worse, they’ve started ringing up my family and mates as well. I’m planning to report them to the Secretary of State’s fraud division first thing tomorrow. Absolute con artists.

This number rings me multiple times a week, always asking for a Kimberly Kelly, who I've never heard of. From the voicemails left before, it seems like some kind of debt collector. Today I was actually home and picked up, waited ages, then started pressing zero repeatedly. Eventually, someone answered and asked where to transfer the call. I told them they had the wrong number and explained how many times they’d called. Then they asked if I knew this Ms Kelly - I said no, that I had no clue who she was. I didn’t even give my name and insisted they take my number off their call list. They said they would, but I really doubt it! The caller spoke perfect English but there was a huge amount of background noise - people chatting, keyboards clacking. I looked the number up on switchboard.com, it’s blocked and from the US. What a classic spam call! Honestly, people making these calls should find better things to do!
