10 yearsThese cold callers just won’t quit, always ringing up outta nowhere. Totally annoying!10 yearsI got a call from this long number but didn’t answer it because it looked suspicious. Lately, I’v also been getting emails saying I’m owed a tax rebate but they want my card info and personal details to send the money over. From what I know, tax refunds usually come as cheques, not direct to your card. They asked for the card number and other data but I quickly realised it was a scam. Each time, I got another email with a different amount supposedly being refunded. I never respond to these calls or emails and make sure to report them to the tax department every time.10 yearsThe moment I picked up, they just ended the call right away.10 yearsThis morning I got a call from this number about an accident involving someone supposedly living here. The thing is, I live by myself, don’t own a car, and don’t even drive. I told the man, who said his name was Jack and sounded like he was from overseas, that it was very unlikely. I was pretty frustrated by then and told him firmly to never call me again, even raising my voice a bit with "do you get me?" at the end.Jack10 yearsOn 19/01/2017 around 10:30 in the morning, I received a phone call from a man with an accent claiming to be from some kind of investigation department about an accident. I told him I wasn’t interested and asked him to stop ringing me as I’ve already had calls from him before.10 yearsThere was silence on the line and then it just cut off.10 yearsI managed to keep chatting with him for about half an hour, spinning all sorts of nonsense. Eventually, I told him I needed to go make a cup of tea, and that’s when he finally hung up.10 yearsToday around 2.15 pm, I got a call from this number and as soon as I picked up, it just seemed to disconnect straight away.10 yearsHe asked me if I’d been in an accident, and I told him no. Then he kept questioning if I was certain about that.10 yearsWhen I picked up this number, the call just dropped straight away. I've had calls before claiming that someone living here is owed around £4000 compensation from a car crash. Other times, they've asked if anyone at this address was involved in an accident. To me, these calls seem connected, trying to get you to give them your name and bank info. I reckon they hang about for a bit, then try to freak you out by pretending they're your bank, pushing you to transfer your cash into their account. It reminds me of those so-called 'banking survey' calls where they're fishing for your name and bank details.10 yearsThis number has rung me more than 25 times within just one hour, it's getting ridiculous!10 yearsA really heavy foreign accent made it tricky to catch what they were saying, and there was loads of noise in the background. They said they were from the 'Investigation Department', but honestly, it didn’t sound right at all. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.Investigation Department10 yearsI ended the call as soon as I picked up.10 yearsGot a call this morning at 10.53 while I was trying to catch some sleep after a night shift! Had a look online and it seems it's one of those scam calls about an accident I know nothing about. I'm on the TPS list too, so I shouldn't be getting these spam calls. Honestly, I'm knackered and really think this lot needs to be reported.TPSTelephone Preference Service10 yearsGot a call from a scammer, no one answered and they didn’t leave any voicemail.10 yearsThe line just cut off right when I picked up.10 yearsThis caller said they were from "Central Accident Management". I told them my number is on the do not call list, and that I’d be reporting the call, which I think really rattled them - serve them right!Central Accident Management10 yearsGot a call saying we’d been in some sort of accident, which is rubbish as we never had one. We’ve been on the TPS list for ages too, so really don’t get why they bothered.Telephone Preference ServiceTPS10 yearsJust like the first comment, this was obviously a scam. When I questioned where they got my number from, they claimed it was ‘the Traffic Management Department’.Traffic Management Department10 yearsThis afternoon around 1:20, I got a call from 0018044120822, but I was quick to try and pick up and it just ended before I could get to it.10 yearsJust got a call from this number, they said they were with some Accident Management team wanting to discuss an accident I supposedly had in the past couple of years. But when I asked for more info about it, the person on the line got quiet and soon dropped the call. The voice sounded like it was Indian. I thought numbers beginning with 001 are from the States or something, yet my phone usually just says "international" for calls like that. This one showed the full number instead, which threw me off.Accident Management DepartmentUnited States10 yearsSo on Thursday evening, about 6:30pm on the 20th of October 2016, this number called me. I picked up but no one said anything. I kept saying hello a few times but then they just ended the call. I’m on the TPS and I’ve got a disability, so calls like this really stress me out and make me feel anxious.Telephone Preference ServiceTPSSubmit Your Own Report (0804 412 0822)
