They even gave a location, Fort Portal, Uganda, and a time stamp. They said if it wasn’t me, probably a hacker trying to break in. Then they urged me to get in touch with their Security Communication Centre immediately on 1-800-816-0380 or go to microsoft.com to fill out a complaint form. They wanted me to quote a reference number to get help from a “certified technician.” Felt super dodgy to me, like a typical scam, especially since they insisted it was urgent and to call straightaway. Definitely didn’t trust it and just ignored it.
