I've experienced the same nonsense! It's crystal clear these chaps are trying to pull a fast one! Their English is utterly dreadful, which gives it away straight away. I like to have a bit of fun with them-when I tell them I own half a dozen Apple Macs, they usually hang up in a hurry! It’s quite the chuckle, really. I’m baffled as to why they persist with their calls; they must be quite thick to keep phoning back!

They identify themselves as Global IT and claim that there's an issue with your computer. Then they instruct you to navigate to your PC and simultaneously press the control key, the Windows key, and R. I chose to keep the conversation going with them. Eventually, I inquired about their phone number, and they abruptly disconnected the call. Upon using 1471, the number revealed was 0018008008100. Be wary and don't let yourself be taken in by this fraudulent scheme.

Received a call yesterday from someone purporting to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer was riddled with viruses and offering to fix it for a price. Total scam artists! Beware!
