These lot keep ringing me and I’m just gonna block ’em. I honestly feel sorry for anyone who falls for this nonsense. When I asked them to take me off their call list, they went on about some £250 fee - complete rubbish if you ask me. Such a dodgy scam.

They keep ringing me up saying there's something wrong with my computer, but honestly, my computer's fine. I've asked them loads of times to take me off their calling list, yet the calls just keep coming. It's so annoying!

For about three weeks now, I’ve been getting calls from this number multiple times a day. When I asked what company they were from and what they wanted, the answers were weird. One bloke with a foreign accent just said “oh brother” and hung up. Another guy claimed he was the tech expert after I asked some questions. He tried telling me my computer was hacked and advised me not to use it until I called them back. Then they asked if they could take remote control of my PC, but I refused straight away. It was obvious to me it was a scam! I feel so sorry for older folks who rely on their computers and could easily fall for this. They could scam thousands without the victim even knowing. I still don’t know which state or country these people are in. I wanted to alert the BBB but don’t have enough details, just this number: 1-800-781-0776. Today, they mentioned a “Jennifer” who’s supposedly a supervisor. Please spread the word that this is a classic scam. Cheers, Rosanne

I kept ringing this number over and over. After a while, the person on the other end got really cross and started being quite rude. I reckon they've blocked my number now, but that's fine - I've blocked theirs as well.

Keeps ringing me up with the same warning about my IP being compromised by the main server or something. I’ve missed at least two calls in the last day. Each time I try to pick up, it just goes straight to voicemail with the same message.

I just got a phone call saying my IP address was hacked and that their main server kept throwing up alerts about it. They were really pushing me to ring them back at 1-800-781-0776. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Today, on 29/9/16, I got two calls warning me that my IP had been hacked. They told me to call their "certified technician" at 800-781 0776 right away before I use my gadget again. Seemed a bit dodgy to me!

For the past week, this number keeps ringing my daughter's mobile phone like 8 to 15 times daily. When I rang back today, the person claimed to be from the IT department at Apple or Microsoft, but that was the only thing they could confirm. The call had a lot of noise and busy sounds in the background. They couldn’t provide any manager’s contact or even a proper name. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

This number left a message on my voicemail claiming my IP server was under threat and urged me to call back to speak to a ‘service technician’. Sounds like the usual scam where they try to trick you into letting them control your computer and then hit you with a hefty bill. Honestly, don’t pick up if they ring, and if you do, just firmly tell them not to call again or you’ll have to report them!

This number is definitely a scam. I’m in IT, and out of curiosity, we decided to ring them back just to see what they were about. They asked for some simple details, which we totally made up. Then they pushed us to visit www.support.me
We kept it going and mentioned that the website was full of photos of naked cowboys. After a bit of back and forth for around 10 minutes, they eventually just ended the call. Cheers 18007840776, you gave us a good laugh and a fun little team moment at work.

Got a voicemail on my answerphone from someone claiming they found an issue on their central server and that I needed to talk to a "certified tech." Sounds dodgy to me!

I've got call blocking set up - is this not against the rules for cold calls?

In just one day, they’ve rung me half a dozen times, leaving voice mails about some supposed virus on my laptop and asking me to ring back, saying they won’t touch my "device" until I do. I phoned them up once to tell them off, but the calls keep coming. Seriously, don’t get caught out by this scam, and under no circumstances should you let them get remote access to your PC.

What a load of rubbish! They kept asking if my system was Microsoft or Apple like I had some problem. There’s nothing wrong at all with my device, it’s working perfectly fine. No one’s messing with my IP either. I even had it checked! Honestly, don’t bother replying to them. I’m just exposing their nonsense!

So this robotic voice popped up telling me my IP was hacked, and I stayed on the line. Then some bloke called Jon Martin came on, claiming he was a certified tech guy ready to fix my 'infected' computer. I told him straight up that he was talking rubbish and demanded the name of his company so I could report him to the better business bureau since I'm on the do not call list. He just laughed and said he wouldn’t spill the name but would share my number among scam rings so I’d get loads of calls constantly. Naturally, I reported him to the do not call registry. Later, I phoned him back pretending to be an idiot, wasting around twenty minutes asking daft questions about the Middle East and threatening to send letters to Iraq via their IP. He got so annoyed, it was hilarious. Definitely ring him if you want a chuckle!

Someone tried to hack into my Facebook and Gmail. When I rang them back, I gave a super old Gmail address that isn’t linked to anything. For like three days, I kept getting texts with password reset codes for that unused email, haha. Total scam attempt. I always answer on speaker if they ring again, then crank up the volume so they can hear themselves properly. Last bloke sounded like he freaked out big time! If he wore headphones, that must’ve hurt his ears. Honestly, he had it coming.

A call came through from 18007810776 earlier today, and they left a voicemail asking me to ring them back. Right away I looked up the number online and, just as I thought, it turned out to be a scam. I decided to call them back just to see if it was like what others have mentioned. Sure enough, it was. They kept going on about my IP address but couldn't answer half the questions I asked. The answers they did give sounded dodgy. The bloke on the other end was quite friendly until I started probing, then he didn’t sound so nice. He even told me to “have a blessed day,” which felt a bit cheeky. Be careful with this one, it’s easy to get caught out!

For the last few months, this number has been ringing me multiple times daily. I usually ignore it but finally answered today to ask politely to be taken off their call list. Instead, the person on the other end rudely responded with a crude insult! Honestly, I was so shocked I just laughed it off and declined their nonsense. It’s sad that with all our tech advances, people still behave this way. I really worry about older people who might find this kind of call upsetting or disturbing!
