Then I got a call from 0800 781 1493; the man said he was from the Metro Bank Fraud team. He told me my card had been used for a couple of big purchases near Liverpool and asked a bunch of personal questions, saying everything was recorded for investigation. He mentioned the payments were blocked and wanted me to check my Metro Bank app for account balances. Afterwards, he started asking about other banks I used.
