I rang that number and they immediately wanted my card details. Definitely a scam, watch out!

So, I got a phone call from 1-800-680-8585 around 3:48 in the afternoon and they left me a voicemail saying:

"Hello, this is the CIBC debit card fraud team with an urgent notice. We need to confirm some transactions on your CIBC debit card. There was an attempted purchase of $120.40 at Codashop that was declined. To keep your account safe, we've put a temporary hold on your card for further checks. Please return our call on our free number 1-800-680-8586".

Felt like a phishing attempt to me. Today at around 3:42pm, my phone rang from 1-800-680-8585 and the voicemail said it was the CIBC debit card fraud team. They claimed there was a suspicious purchase for $120.40 at Codashop that got declined. They said they’d temporarily frozen my card and asked me to ring back on 1-800-680-8586 to sort it out. But when I looked up CIBC’s official contact number on their website, it’s actually 1-800-465-2422 (or 1-800-465-CIBC), not the numbers in that message. Plus, I don’t even have an account with CIBC, so this definitely seemed fishy.
