7 yearsAbout three weeks back, I got a call from this number: (206) 289-0879, and then again today from a different one, but it was the exact same automated message. The voice, a bloke talking like he was from the IRS, claimed there was a warrant out for me. He never actually said my name once, but kept saying I'd better have my Social Security Number ready before they "showed up at my door to arrest me over some debts." He said I owed the IRS for four different matters, and his tone got pretty threatening as the message went on. Honestly, if I wasn’t so sure, I might’ve freaked out and maybe dug out my card, but the IRS doesn’t collect money like this at all.
