I've just encountered this fraudulent scheme claiming my computer's been locked and urging me to call a specific number. The easiest fix? Just hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete to shut down the browser, and all will return to normal. I conducted a comprehensive virus scan afterward, and guess what? No issues detected at all.
