I got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft. The person on the line informed my husband that his account had been hacked and that his credit cards were at risk as well. He’s now in the midst of disputing several transactions that appeared on his credit cards. Take heed if you happen to get a call from this number; it's completely dodgy and a total scam! I recently received a call from a number that identified itself as being linked to Microsoft, informing me that my device had a virus. I received a rather unnerving call from that number. It was quite eerie, to be honest. I distinctly heard heavy breathing that seemed to linger in the air, almost echoing. Then, a chap's voice came through, simply saying ‘hello’. The background noise of his television was clear as day, making the whole situation even more bizarre.

I recently received a rather troubling phone call that pretended to be from Microsoft. I've encountered similar computer glitches in the past and have always resolved them with a straightforward reboot. This time, however, I opted to ring back the number provided and spoke with a chap named Robert Dsouza. He claimed my computer was compromised, citing supposed firewall problems, and urged me to grant him remote access to my machine. He described this as a complimentary service from Microsoft. Feeling dubious, I was not keen to let him take control. Instead, I rebooted my computer right there and then while he was still on the line. After checking my firewall settings, I found everything was just fine and there were no issues at all. I decided to end the conversation when he insisted on accessing my computer remotely.

I reached out to Microsoft Support via their application and was directed to the number 1-800-642-7676. The representative on the line, who had an Indian accent, was exceedingly polite and appeared well-informed. He requested my name and email but then asked if he could access my computer, which I was not comfortable with. Furthermore, he couldn't provide me with any identification for his employer. Just as I was contemplating enlisting the help of this service, my granddaughter's partner decided to investigate the number on your site. I can't express how grateful I am for the heads-up; you’ve truly thwarted a potential scam! Haha, what a faff! I rarely pick up the phone anyway. Can't fathom why Microsoft would need to get in touch with me. Strangely, I did answer a call earlier and it turned out to be yet another dodgy one-something about a Google Business listing. I must get at least fifty of those calls weekly. When they rattled on, I just went silent and thought, "Yep, typical." So when this particular number popped up, I answered with a cheeky "Hello? What do you want, scammer? Save your breath 'cause I'm not falling for it, mate!" Then I typed in the number to check it out, and lo and behold, here I am with this information. It really gets my goat that in the last fifteen years, I've probably picked up the phone only a handful of times, and today was double the trouble. I fork out £100 a month to Verizon and here I am unable to rely on my own ruddy phone! Thanks a bunch for nothing, Verizon-endless scam calls, sluggish DSL, and my ancient AOL email.

I received this number following a live chat session with Microsoft support via their official website. They also handed me the number 18009365700. When I reached out, I expressed my desire to speak with an actual person regarding some technical issues I was facing. On the 10th of September, I fell victim to a scam that resulted in my computer freezing. Once I realised I had been scammed, I promptly called Microsoft at 18775682495. Thankfully, I was connected to a tech support representative who managed to halt the scammers' actions, provided me with a reference number, and rectified the situation. The tech support individual then supplied me with the number 18006427676 for any future concerns. He didn’t mention anything about payment and advised that I would likely receive an email asking for feedback on my experience, which indeed occurred. Therefore, I believe this is a legitimate Microsoft contact number.

I’ve just had a rather dodgy phone call from this number, which I didn’t recognise at all. So, like any sensible person, I decided to do a quick search online. Lo and behold, it turns out it’s a scam operation that could’ve landed me in a right pickle if I’d bitten. Thankfully, I promptly got in touch with my credit card provider to flag the dubious charge for their so-called service. I didn’t stop there, either; I made sure to notify the FCC about this rotten scheme as well. Additionally, I reached out to Dell to ensure they could 'sweep up' any questionable software or programmes that might have been snuck onto my computer on the day of their call. It’s infuriating how these scammers keep ringing using different numbers! I make it a point to block any unfamiliar digits that come through.

I received a rather disturbing message on my computer that falsely claimed I'd been hacked by a particular website. It advised me to ring a number for Microsoft to rectify and probe the alleged breach. The scammers cleverly used counterfeit Microsoft interfaces that seemed remarkably genuine. They attempted to sell me three years of fake protection for £400, or a lifetime package for £700, all while masquerading as Microsoft representatives with phony credentials. It was all very slick. They even requested to "add" family members and asked for my husband's contact details. At that moment, I realised it was a con and firmly declined. The chap on the other end grew visibly anxious and rather aggressive - he had an Indian accent. Such a letdown! He then took control and started fiddling with my mouse, completely hijacking my computer. Truly frightening experience! This is a serious case of fraud to beware of!

I've been led to believe that this is supposed to be Microsoft’s technical support, and it seems to be run out of India. I had a conversation on the Microsoft website, where they requested my phone number for a callback. To my surprise, I received a call from India almost instantly. Now, I'm left pondering whether this is a legitimate service or merely a scam. I feel that Microsoft ought to investigate this situation to clear the air and alleviate our concerns. Should this indeed be an official Microsoft contact, I must admit, the service seems quite satisfactory thus far.

I recently received a rather peculiar call from a lady sporting a rather pronounced Indian accent, inquiring for someone whose name utterly eluded me. Initially, I returned the call to this number, firmly stating that I preferred not to be contacted again. Curiously, the process involved a Microsoft-like automated response system that sounded quite credible, yet I sensed something was amiss. The person on the other end kept insisting he was noting down my concerns and assured me they would cease all future attempts to ring me. Naturally, I asked for his address, and he reckoned it was 11 Times Square. It’s clearly a fraudulent operation! He even tried to debate with me about whether I was indeed my wife's husband. What a cheek!

Honestly, my folks are far too gullible for their own good. By the time my mum thought to ring me up, those scammers had already snagged her number, linked it to their system, and were pressuring her to buy a £500 "firewall" that they insisted could only be bought using Google gift cards. It's absolutely bonkers!

I returned the call to this number, and it indeed claims to be affiliated with Microsoft. However, I was informed that all of my details would be routed to a different country.

I recently received a rather bothersome call from this number. A lady with a thick accent was asking to gain control of my computer. I told her to shove off, and she responded with some pretty colourful language before abruptly ending the call. What a nuisance!

I just had a woman ring me from this number, claiming that someone had used my email and asked me to open something. As I perused the comments here, it turns out this number has been flagged by others too... I must admit, it's a bit unnerving!

I've recently come across a rather dubious scam whereby individuals claim to be affiliated with Microsoft Office, asserting that they're authorised to issue refunds due to Microsoft closing its doors. The story goes that they've been tasked with returning your funds. They further spin a tale that, since last week, cheque refunds are a thing of the past. Instead, they insist you pop down to the nearest supermarket to purchase a Google gift card, instructing you to relay the 16-digit code back to them so they can "load" the refund onto it. At this point, I firmly told them they could keep whatever refund they supposedly owed me; I'm not about to be ruined over a money return. Then, the lady transferred my call to her superior, who had a noticeable Indian accent. He assured me that they weren’t in the business of holding onto anyone’s money. I cheekily suggested he should just pocket it for himself!

Although I never received a call from them, I've noticed a charge of £59.99 on my bank statement linked to this phone number!

I received a call from someone claiming that our computer had been hacked, and they wanted to know if we were near it. Mum struggled to catch what they were saying, but I picked up on it straight away and recognised it as a scam based on prior experiences. I took the phone from her and let the caller know I was contacting the police, and just like that, they cut off the line.

To the best of my knowledge, this telephone number appears to be associated with Microsoft. You can verify this on their Canadian site here: ".https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/28808/microsoft-store-contact-support". If anyone has fallen victim to scams involving this number, it's crucial to alert Microsoft, as it might indicate a breach of their tech support. Although my experiences have been satisfactory, it does not rule out the possibility of misuse. If you’ve encountered any suspicious activity, please make sure to report it.

I suggested they ought to alter their phone number to 1800 FRAUDSTERS. Then, out of the blue, they just cut the call! Absolutely hilarious!

I’ve had the misfortune of receiving calls from individuals purporting to be from Microsoft. They’re all too eager to inform me that my computer is riddled with viruses, and then they offer their “expert services” to remedy the situation, but at a hefty price of £199. It’s nothing but a con, in my opinion!

Absolutely a con job! I've received multiple calls from these folks claiming they represent Microsoft, insisting that numerous spam messages have been dispatched from my Yahoo account. The caller had a thick Indian accent and, quite unsettlingly, disclosed my name and email address. When I mentioned that the Yahoo account in question was defunct, he quickly pivoted to saying that my home network had been compromised and urged me to boot up my laptop so he could resolve the ‘problem’ over the phone. In the end, he hung up, clearly irritated.

I've been inundated with four calls from this number within the span of just three hours, and I've refrained from picking up the phone. Is there a way to report these bothersome calls? Also, how can I go about blocking this number?

It’s an absolute con, steer clear of them! Don’t engage in conversation or pick up the phone! Just a heads up, Microsoft will only ring you if you’ve reached out to them initially!

I found myself on the Microsoft account website and opted to have a chat with a support agent regarding my issue. The chap was undeniably helpful, but during our conversation, he requested my card details to assist with some payments that had been deducted without my approval. He seemed sincere and really was quite accommodating, yet I felt it prudent to verify his phone number, which led me to this one. To err on the side of caution, I promptly cancelled my card. One must always exercise a bit of caution these days!

I've recently discovered that this number is associated with charges from Xbox Live, specifically Microsoft billing. I cover these expenses so my kids can enjoy their gaming experience online. If you receive calls from this number, rest assured it's a legitimate Microsoft contact.

I received a phone call claiming that my device was infected with a virus and that the emails they’d dispatched were unsuccessful. They even knew my name and email address, which really unnerved me. The caller offered to walk me through the resolution over the phone. I chose to end the call instead.
