4 yearsI got a call from this number asking about something I supposedly bought, but I honestly can't recall spending that kind of money. I was asleep at the time, told them no, and then ended the call. They kept ringing me, like 10 times in just 30 minutes! I tried using the silent mode on my phone to block their buzzing, but they just kept calling, even once from a different number. The number keeping popping up is 8004163925 or something like that. No idea who they are.4 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were from Wells Fargo, but I had already spoken to the real company. Seemed a bit dodgy to me...Wells Fargo5 yearsI got a call and an email from someone saying they were Wells Fargo, telling me my card was declined when I tried to buy something. They asked if I wanted to activate the card then and there. Felt fishy, so I went straight to my bank and ended up changing all my accounts just to be safe. It’s awful how some people try to scam others like that. Honestly, they should either get a proper job or just stop causing trouble - these kind of scams should land you in serious trouble.Wells Fargo7 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be Wells Fargo. They asked if I used Samsung Pay, and when I said no, they claimed there were fraudulent transactions on my account. I asked them to cancel those charges and my card, but they said they couldn’t do that themselves. Instead, they said they'd send me a verification SMS and needed me to read out the code to start the refund process. Bit sketchy, but I went along. Luckily, I checked the message carefully - it was actually a two-factor authentication code for setting up Samsung Pay on my card. If I’d told them the code, they could’ve bypassed the security and linked my card for their own use. Dodged a bullet there.Wells FargoSamsung7 yearsSomeone called saying they were from Capital One and tried to get details about my credit cards, claiming they could reduce my interest rate. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.Capital One8 yearsI got a text saying I needed to confirm a couple of charges on my credit card from Amazon Prime. I checked my account by getting in touch with Amazon and saw nothing unusual, so I was told it’s actually a phishing attempt. Seems like someone might have got hold of either my email or card details.
