6 yearsBeware of this scammer pretending to be from the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) billing department. They threatened to disconnect my electricity within an hour unless I cleared my overdue bills. The person I spoke with said his name was John Givens and gave an extension of 103 when I called back on 800-559-0697. The initial call came from 619-694-8273. When I told them I had already paid, they insisted I file a claim to track the payments but I still needed to make another payment straight away to avoid power cut. They promised a refund plus a 35% discount for the next six months if it turned out to be a mistake.
