I was informed that I was signing up for a three-month trial of the HD Extra Pack channels numbered 565 to 573. They mentioned that I should ring that number back to cancel it before the 20th of January, 2019. The person I spoke with had a foreign accent and gave off the impression of regurgitating the same offer repeatedly, as though they were following a script.

Absolutely, heed this warning - it’s a complete con! I reached out to DTV to double-check whether this so-called promotion was legitimate, and they confirmed it wasn’t. I really hope folks pay attention to these warnings or take the time to verify any deals that seem too good to be true. Stay cautious!

I experienced something quite similar today. It was as if I was caught in a déjà vu of sorts. A caller posed as Directv, peddling a so-called special offer for £59.99 a month alongside a £100 gift card, all in exchange for some eBay vouchers - a hefty £300 upfront. They even provided a promo code and instructed me to ring back the billing department by 9pm. To top it off, they rang me again at precisely 7:33 and 7:35, but both times, the line was dead silent. I did a bit of digging and thankfully stumbled across this info before making that return call. I’ve now blocked the number entirely.

I've recently terminated my services with both ATT and DirecTV, yet they’ve been relentless, ringing me for four consecutive days insisting that I have outstanding payments. Interestingly, the message advises keeping your credit card close when you dial in. It all reeks of a scam, if you ask me.

I recently received a notification on my Direct TV indicating that my hard drive had failed, and I was instructed to ring this number to arrange for a new Genie. It certainly raises some red flags, suggesting they might have infiltrated the Direct TV network somehow. I plan to restart my Genie in hopes of gaining access again.

Today, I was plagued by three phone calls from this number, and the person on the other end had a noticeable foreign accent. To my surprise, they seemed to have access to my Direct TV details. They were pushing some promotional deal that included access to all channels, but it came with a catch: I was to procure a £300 E-Bay gift card and ring this number by 9 pm - 1-888-588-9921. Concerned, I reached out to both Direct TV and Century Link, who confirmed that it was nothing but a scam. Later, around half seven, they called again, pressing me for the money and insisting that they knew I hadn’t sent it yet. I didn't hesitate to hang up immediately. Tim, Punta Gorda, FL.

I'm a bit in two minds about whether this was a con or not. They seemed to know my DIRECTV account details and the monthly charge I have, which threw me off. After they realised I’m already on the best deal available, they expressed their gratitude for my loyalty and promptly ended the call. The person on the line had a foreign accent; then again, isn’t it the norm these days for big corporations to farm out their customer service?

Utterly fraudulent! The caller spoke with a thick accent and tried to convince me to purchase a gift card from eBay, claiming it would somehow help reduce my bills by fifty percent. I rang up Directv for clarification, and they confirmed it was indeed a scam. Exercise caution, folks!

On the 5th of October, 2018, around twenty minutes to two in the afternoon, I received a call on my mobile from a bloke claiming to be Steven, representing Direct TV. Received a couple of calls today, both rather suspect. They insisted I ought to cough up five months’ worth of payments, totalling £300, with the claim that it was somehow linked to Amazon. To make matters more dubious, they instructed me to purchase an Amazon gift card for that very sum to settle the supposed bill. Naturally, I reached out to the folks at AT&T/Direct TV, and they confirmed it was all a con. They've taken down my details and are going to report it as fraudulent.

I received a call recently about an upgrade, and the person on the line mentioned that someone would reach out to me within a day. Oddly enough, even though I had no intentions of chatting with them, my caller ID displayed it as Direct TV. It felt like the offer was almost too fantastic to be genuine. They had all my details-my last bill amount, my address-everything! The only request was for a one-off payment of £99 upfront for shipping and handling. Once I hung up, I had a nagging feeling it was all a bit dodgy, so I decided to ring Direct TV myself. The lady I spoke to was a bit uncertain if it was a legitimate call or a con job. From the off, he seemed quite certain I was a subscriber. As a matter of fact, he promptly quizzed me about the amount on my last bill. When I probed him about the specifics of the promotion he was spruiking and kept my billing details close to my chest, he abruptly hung up. This morning, my home phone rang incessantly, ringing three times back-to-back. After what felt like the 323rd call, I finally picked it up. A bloke with a bit of an accent claimed to be from Direct TV, promising to help me save some cash. He then asked how much I was currently being charged. I was approached by someone claiming to be from AT&T, promoting a package that included Direct TV, phone, and internet services for a mere £100 less than my current bill. They suggested I keep my CenturyLink landline and the same number, but when they asked for my credit card details to cover a £7 activation fee, I flatly refused. That seemed to send them into a bit of a spin! A supervisor named Zack then chimed in with a rather forceful sales pitch, suggesting I contact the number 845 640 0011 and verify his badge number, 8041. I recently received an dodgy call supposedly from DirecTV/AT&T/Amazon, and it definitely raised my suspicions. The caller offered to lower my monthly DirecTV charges if I pre-paid two months in advance. They insisted that Amazon was backing this unusual promotion to help spread the word about their gift cards. Really? They went to great lengths to sound credible, but the whole gift card thing paired with that sketchy billing number they provided (888-697-0515, which also happens to be linked to credit card scams) set off major alarm bells for me. If it were genuine, DirecTV wouldn't be overly concerned about how I chose to pay! I mean, when have they ever just given you a discount out of the blue? They thrive on keeping hold of your money for as long as they can! A bit of common sense can be invaluable in these dodgy circumstances.

Given my health issues, I really could do without the extra stress!

A couple of months back, I was in the market for insurance, and ever since that time, I've been inundated with incessant calls from an East Indian gentleman. The chap rings me up every twenty minutes like clockwork! The moment I block one number, he just switches to another. Now, when I do pick up, he simply hangs up. It’s quite irritating, to say the least!

I've been pestered by this number an astonishing seven times in just a couple of hours! They purport to be from Direct TV, claiming they can slash my bill by fifty per cent, but I reckon it’s just another scam! Returning the call is futile, and the voice on the other end sounds like a chap from India, complete with all sorts of racket in the background. To top it off, they don’t even have the right number linked to my account! It’s absolutely ridiculous and incredibly irritating!

I've received incessant calls from 18005315000, coming in relentless every thirty minutes! After doing a bit of digging online, I stumbled upon a plethora of enraged individuals sharing their grievances about this very number. Surely, there must be a way to put an end to this nuisance once and for all. Maybe we should consider finding a spam caller and have them harass their own mother every half hour, if they’re fortunate enough to have one! Honestly, we’re fed up! And look, wouldn't you know it, that ridiculous number is ringing again!

I keep getting calls from this number every quarter of an hour. I pick up, but they just hang up on me, only to ring back shortly after. After having a look at some reviews, it appears this is a dodgy operation. They just won't stop calling, so best not to answer!

I keep receiving calls from this number, and I’m absolutely fed up with it. I never pick up for numbers I don’t recognise; if it’s genuinely important, they ought to leave a message, don’t you think?

I recently received a call from this number as well, and it turned out to be a scam. They started off by inquiring about the quality of my TV signal and then went on to pressure me into purchasing a new receiver. It was quite dodgy, to say the least!

Received a flurry of calls throughout the day, with a persistent individual claiming they could slash my bill by fifty percent-of course, they only needed me to cough up five months' payment upfront. Politely declined their offer and hung up. But lo and behold, they kept ringing for hours afterwards. What a nuisance!

I keep getting calls from this number, and it’s driving me bonkers! I refuse to pick up since it’s unfamiliar to me, and they’ve yet to leave a voicemail. So frustrating!

I’ve received a call from them every half hour for the last three hours! I decided to pick up on the second attempt, and the caller claimed to be from Direct TV. I told them I wasn’t keen, but the ringing continued. The person sounded like they were from India, and there was quite a bit of commotion in the background.

I let the call go unanswered as my initial instinct screamed "SCAM!" After doing a bit of research on the number and reading various comments, I’m quite relieved I opted not to pick up.

So, on Thursday, I received a call from someone who claimed he could knock £50 off our monthly bill. Then, just two days later, he rings me again and says we need to cough up £120 immediately, and in return, he’ll only reduce our monthly payment by a tenner. Quite the turn of events, isn’t it?

We do indeed employ a few external partners, but it's really nothing to fret over. The Amazon promotion is absolutely genuine and above board.

I recently experienced an attempted scam via phone that was later verified by Direct TV. My husband had a lengthy chat lasting about 20 minutes with an individual who promised to slash our bill from an eye-watering £181 a month down to just £59. However, the conversation took a suspicious turn when they insisted we needed to purchase a £300 Amazon voucher to cover the first five months in advance. Alarmed, my husband reached out to Direct TV directly, only to be informed that this is a known con where dodgy callers spoof the Direct TV number on caller ID to deceive unsuspecting customers. If you get a similar call, don’t hesitate to hang up! It's definitely a fraudulent ploy!

They bombarded me with calls all day! When I finally picked up, the person on the other end claimed to represent Direct TV but then began spewing foul language. It’s incredibly frustrating! How on earth did they manage to get hold of my name and telephone number? 😡

It seems I've encountered a rather dodgy situation with Direct TV. They've been soliciting personal details under the pretext of "locating" my account. What's peculiar is their insistence that they can't seem to track it down without the specific serial numbers from my receiver boxes. Quite the conundrum, wouldn't you say?
