A chap rang me up claiming that I had only 45 minutes to settle a payment for the gas bill from July and August, which totalled £495. He insisted that I should send money via a prepaid card from places like Walgreens or CVS. I reckon this is nothing but a scam!

Received a call claiming to be from PG&E, and when they rang me back, they assured me that they wouldn't reach out to disconnect my service. To say I was rattled would be an understatement!
I can’t quite recall what I mentioned during the initial conversation, but they contacted me using the number 5104835791, notifying me that they’d arrive in about half an hour to shut off my service. That same number led me to another line for assistance. I ended up on hold for nearly an hour, and I really hope I haven't made any mistakes in this whole mix-up.
