I've received the same pesky call twice in the last couple of days. Both times, the numbers seemed to be from a genuine Scotiabank line (1-888-267-1609 and 1-800-472-6842). They were requesting all sorts of details about my credit card, including the expiry date and security code, which immediately sent up alarm bells. I rang Scotiabank myself, and they assured me that there were no transactions on my card or any calls made to me during that period. It seems these crooks might be using some kind of number spoofing technology to impersonate Scotiabank’s official number. I've flagged this incident with Scotiabank, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. Stay vigilant, everyone!

I had a rather suspicious call from this number that appeared to be associated with Scotiabank. The individual on the line claimed to work in their Fraud Prevention team and started mentioning that there were apparently some transactions on my cards being processed in Pakistan. They were probing for personal details and even referenced some of my recent transactions, which was rather unsettling. Please be cautious, as this seems to be a significant scam. They even managed to reach out to my husband!

Received a call purporting to be from the fraud department of Scotiabank, but it was clearly a scam. I'm getting harassed by these calls every single day. They keep probing for my card details, SIN, and other sensitive information. It's quite evident that the legitimate fraud department would never behave in this manner.

Just wanted to share an experience I had. My 95-year-old mother recently got a new phone and, out of the blue, she received an Interac e-transfer of £750. Seems odd, especially since only a handful of people have her number. Please take care, folks! Scammers are persistently looking for ways to con you out of your hard-earned cash, and they keep coming up with different schemes. Stay vigilant!

The RCMP provided me with this number to either lodge a complaint about fraud or confirm if I’ve been a victim of it. However, after going through the various complaints, I'm feeling quite uncertain about how to proceed.

I had a rather unsettling experience recently where someone on the phone claimed to be from Microsoft and started taking control of my laptop remotely under the guise of offering assistance. It was quite alarming, to say the least!

My aunt fell victim to a scheme involving some individuals pretending to be from Microsoft's tech support. They slyly convinced her to part with £250 for a seven-year subscription to a helpline! Absolutely despicable behaviour.

I got an email notifying me that a sum of £200 had been debited from my Scotia Bank credit card. It even mentioned the specific location where the transaction supposedly occurred. What’s alarming is that I was indeed at that petrol station and utilized my card, but I only spent £40. I've checked my account, and thankfully, there’s no trace of that £200 charge.

I received a message informing me that my payment had gone through, and it urged me to ring a particular number if I didn’t recognise it. Just a heads-up - this is definitely a scam! I’ve reported them and blocked the number. Stay alert, folks!
